Live Game Chat

6 posts in this topic

I dont know if anyone else is having this problem, but with the Raven's Gameday live chatroom i am unable to post anything. I write in my name and when i post it says that my message has been sent, yet it never shows up into the forum. Any suggestions? Much thanks!!

I'm glad you have that option :)

I'm not really sure what game chat you are talking about. Do you have a link? To the best of my knowledge we do not have a chat room.

Hi SemperRavens,

I know what you're talking about when you mentioned our Live Game Chat on our Gameday page. The way the chat is setup, all comments/questions that are submitted are reviewed by our writer who is conducting the chat and he approves select ones that appear. In addition to making sure all the content is appropriate, the main reason we do this is so the chat is easy for people to follow. If hundreds of people in the chat all submitted a comment at the same time and all the hundreds of comments appeared in the chat, it would be very difficult to read the chat. It would also push up any comment that you are in the middle of reading.

So when you submit a comment and your message has been sent, it goes into a queue for our chat host to review. We try to approve as many comments as we can but we're not able to post everyone's. (And if there are many similar comments or questions, we typically pick one that is representative of the group.)

I hope this helps!

PS- Not sure if you're aware, but we also do a live chat on our site every Tuesday at noon. Sometimes we have special guests such as players or coaches that join the chat. You can check it out at http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/chat-live.html.
