Is It Only Me Or Madden 08, 09 Are Better On Ps2 Than The Next Gen Consoles

I love madden 08 on ps2. When i had my ps2 i played non stop . Its was the best game alive and now i sold my ps2 while geting a 360. And the only thing better is the graphics other than that i feel like i am playing with a bunch of robots. Its not even fun anymore. They keep trying to make it soooooo real that they forgot it was a game and games are supposed to be fun not fu**ing like a simulation of sundays game. Anybody feel the same or is it just me?

Not really, I like it being like real life. If you like more of an arcade style game try Blitz: The League. I think Madden is a great game that keeps getting better. I love how the QB Mechanics factor in to how the throw is and everything, big hits force fumbles etc. Just my opinion

I am all for more realistic gaming, though im still angry at the NFL for giving Madden exclusive rights to their brand. The 2k series was just as enjoyable for me.

The 2K series was crap, IMO.

The running game never felt right to me (felt too easy to just pound it north-and-south, but go figure).

And the passing game didn't feel natural to me. It was as if there was no significant difference between elite receivers and the middle-of-the-road ones.

Totally agree w.you. 2K felt like a cheaper made version of madden to me, the graphics were nice, but the game itself just wasnt as good. I like madden, and I hope they continue to make the NFL's games for a while

nahhh, im the kinda gamer that is into realism. Anything like cartoony isnt interesting to me. Madden 09 has a better running engine for ps2 and xbox though (meaning in it's easier to run). Besides that it has nothing on 360 or the PS3. The graphics are insane.

I love '09 but the gameplay in 08 was better than in 09. It was easier to move around, thats all.

yes madden ps2 is deff better then on ps3...... 07,08 best ones over !!!! madden on ps3 sucks but i think they will make it better as the years go on , thats how it was on ps2 it really didnt get good on ps2 till 05 or 06 to me atleast.

i hate the PS3 and 360 Maddens....when you are playing against a friend, you can see eachothers plays. At least PS2 let you keep it secretive

If you look on the screen there is a way to set each play with it's own button so people don't know what play you're calling.

If you play the PS3 version of 09, you can hide what play you're calling by holding down R2 as you choose your play (or the RT/Right Trigger button for 360). This assigns each play on-screen to an individual button, just like the old traditional Madden playcalling screen, rather than highlighting one play at a time.

I think they adjusted the playcall screen on the next-gen versions to simplify things for casual users. Problem is, even casual users don't like it when the person sitting next to them can see what play they chose.

Only video game i play is Madden 08 for ps2. Don't have a 360 or ps3 so that will probably change when I get one of them. Whenever im playing on 360 or ps3 it doesn't feel as good as the ps2 version, but thats probably just because im not used to them yet

the thing i hate about 08 on playstation is the offseason. the part that says assigning new player roles or something takes FOREVER.

the only good thing about the 2k series was the cribs. that was awesome

I got madden 09 for ps2 and i like it. Other then what the one guy said, it takes for ever in the off season for the game to go threw resigning and cutting players.
