Chuck Pagano Diagnosed with Leukemia

30 posts in this topic

Wanted to put this in Ravens Talk but technically he's no longer a Raven so I figured it would get moved...

Chuck Pagano has been diagnosed with a serious illness after feeling unusual fatigue the past few weeks and getting blood tests in the bye week. The Colts are going to hold a press conference this morning with more specifics.

Best wishes to Chuck, here's hoping he can get back to 100% health soon!! :(

Yeah his doctors have said his chances of recovering are good which is good to hear. He's expected to be in isolation in an Indianapolis hospital for 6 weeks.

Saw this in the Star Press this morning in Indianapolis, such a sad story but apparently it's pretty treatable (not that it takes anything away). Wish him the best of luck in his treatment and recovery, as an indianapolis resident it was nice to finally be able to find a sliver of something in an organization that I could like.

It's a shame he wasn't still in Baltimore when this happened. I'd much rather he be at a facility like Johns Hopkins for treatment.

My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.

I've just seen some horrible news guys. Chuck Pagano, our defensive coordinator from a year ago and our secondary coach for years before, has been diagnosed with leukemia. They say that it is treatable but nonetheless, this is very serious. My sincere thoughts and prayers are with Chuck Pagano and his family.

Thoughts and Prayers are with Coach Pagano and his family. Cancer is always a challenging disease, but fortunately this firm of leukemia is very treatable. Here's to a quick recovery.

Very sad news, but very good to know that its treatable and he will beat it! If his body fights like his defensive schemes, Cancer will be running for the hills!

If you didn't get emotional watching his speech he gave the Colts after yesterday's loss than your not human.

Update from PFT, Chuck's cancer is now in remission.
Pagano is back in the hospital today for another round of chemotherapy, and a bone marrow aspirate test did not detect any evidence of acute promyelocytic leukemia, his doctors told the Indianapolis Star.

“We need to keep going and we will not be able to use the word ‘cure’ for four or five years,” Pagano’s oncologist Dr. Larry Cripe said.
Get Well Chuck and sack this Cancer!
