Nissan Jones Junction in Bel Air is awesome. Got a free oil change today, they also fixed my brakes and steering all for free! ...good people down there.

that's where we get all of our cars, that's where I got my 2011 370z!

So, this is just the Raven07 vid posting thread now? ;)

To be fair, the original poster said, "what do you drive?" and "what would you like to get?" Maybe they should be different threads, since it is clear that posts about what cars you actually have will be buried quickly and deeply.

Just to be on topic, I have a Lotus Elise, BMW M3, Toyota Tacoma 4x4 and a race car that was a Saturn in its former life. I recently test drove a Range Rover Evoque with a friend who is looking and thought it was spectacular, though I have no use for one right now.

Suburban just lost 3rd gear. Finally time to put her out to pasture and go CAR SHOPPING!!!

I am hoping by toward the end of the year or summer that I'll be able to get a new car. Looking at the new Chevy Cruz.

Ended up paying the $1,400 and getting the transmission rebuilt. In the process of a massive project at the house and the wife is a little nervous to allow me to fork out the cash for what I would buy next.

2006 545i, 63k miles, nav, bluetooth, BMW 20's (that need refinishing due to curb rash and pitting) and the rest is pretty much stock. Headlights are faded and Im gonna do something there. Gonna refinish the wheels, darker tint, maybe a small little lip spoiler and a new exhaust. Thats all I plan at this time, ha!

Need some advice. Currently have a 2006 Chevy Cobalt, has 90,000 some miles on it(to be frank it's close to 91,000) and while I'm looking to get the Chevy Cruz I don't have the money at the moment to really get a new car. Looking to at least upgrade my Cobalt for the time being. I already decided on minor things, new light bulbs(headlight and brake lights) and an new rear view mirror that is longer than the current one.

Now I'm also thinking about putting in a brand new interior with power locks and power windows(my car has manual locks and windows at the moment) and maybe a paint job(currently it is blue). Since it has reached 90K already, should I worry about a new paint job and new interior?

No sir...you will not see that money back and if you plan on selling soon it would be a massive waste of money for items that expensive. To properly paint a car and change things like manual locks/windows to power is no small task. It would be thousands!

Not entirely true. It depends on the car really. Most of the time , in late model cars... the wiring harnesses/fuse panels.. etc are actually the same, when the ground work of the is laid out, they generally don't know what options the car will have. Granted, he'd have to add the switch/lock assembly. However, a lot of times the wiring is in place. A good place to start is a FSM (factory service manual).

While most of what you said here is true, you're not gonna see the money back. Not to mention I was more speaking on the painting of a car. To do a paint job properly (and I don't mean a $500 Maaco job) it'll cost thousands and definitely not worth it on a Cobalt.

Thank you guys! I just want to do something to make it look new and figured I could do something to it to upgrade it in the looks department. I'll stick to the new light bulbs and rear view mirror for the car.

Ohhh heck no! The paint is a waste of time, I agree. If it doesn't need body work, and you need it painted, Maaco might not be bad... but the normal crap respray they do is garbage . It also depends where you go. Some are good... Some are horrendous.

No personal experience, but looked into extensively a few months back. Heard some damn good things about it (especially for emblems, molding etc...small items). Craziness that people have done entire cars and their wheels. Some of it looks sick as hell!

5 spoke or mesh style wheels?

Edit - on the 5 above (mine need refinishing and I cant stomach $800 to refinish when I can get new for $600 and reuse my tires).
