Moot to you....makes it easy to say that when you're in favor of the other. Too funny!

Realistically, what's the point of buying a car just for its performance if you're just going to drive it along the highway? Unless you live near a racetrack or something.

when i was stationed in Germany back in the day (way back...lol) it was NOTHING to see a BMW and a Porsche racing on the autobahn. it was the craziest thing that i'd ever seen at the time. but it occurred almost daily. back then i rocked a BMW 525 series and then eventually i upgraded to my 7 series. i believe that the highest i ever had my BMW's go was 120-130 mph on the autobahn. better not try that here in the states! lol!

What's it like racing down the Audobahn?!

Alright, show me the Botticelli of BMWs and we can compare it to the McLaren.

Will do, but you do admit youve been continuing to compare apple to oranges as far as price is concerned, right? Its not even been close. First, it was a Mclaren and a 3 seriers...ha, wow! Then at least it was a touch better with a nice M3 and an SL550.

Trust me, I totally dig both, just prefer BMW. I've had 6 or 7 BMW's (have 2 now) and just love 'em. I also have a truck, Suburban, 2 Jeeps and a Benz. Yes, I do own one ;)

"Just for the performance"? You talk like BMW doesn't have one of the most sophisticated and technologically advanced interiors and state of the art sound systems, in Harmon Kardon on the market.

it's crazy man! in a good way! no speed limits. i could really get the full use of my BMW, Mercedes and Jaguars engines. and believe it or not...they don't have that many accidents over there like we do here with 55, 60 & 70 speed limits. unreal!

Never been inside a Beemer, you need to take me for a joy ride!

Not really big on sound systems. I generally just listen to ESPN in the car.

Not this busted Suburban, you wouldnt. Its an oldie I bought just to slap TVs in the headrests and let the boys watch Mickey on road trips.

It will soon be out with a Denali XL or Escalade ESV in its place all Mili'd out!

my friend has a Denali. now....that is a very sweet ride. the Escalade? uhh...initially i wanted that EXT but i decided to rock that Lincoln Navigator instead. glad i did! the ESV is very nice though. like you, i'll be making a pick up myself in 6 months. my wife talked me into grabbing that S500 Benz as a birthday gift. she didn't have to tell me twice. LOL!

Yeah, my wifes X5 was a Christmas gift to her a few years back. She wanted the X3 with smaller motor and didnt really need any "goodies" she said. Well, she got the X5 with the 4.4L motor, nav and sport and winter packages. Oops!

Good talking man. Drink time!

That thing is crazy looking. Just Googled it, as I had never heard of it. Not so into the more obscure and concept-type cars.

my grown daughter, son & daughter-in-law wouldn't have that cause you'd be tapping into their inheritance. ;)

The SSC Ultimate Aero is faster than the Veyron and looks way cooler! Much cheaper too, lol.

Not even in the same class.. and NO, its not faster then the newest Veyron. I dont like either car that much.. but you could live with the Bug.Vey every day ( if you chose) ..the Aero is a skelton compared to the Bug. i like the performance of both, but the Veyronhas all the creature comforts and the interior is SICK.

Also, for the BMW/Benz debate...

BMW= Drivers car, Lighter more rigid and a little rattley

Mercedez= Drives the car for you. Soft, plush and solid

both have plenty of electrical problems.

Benz has a more durable engine due to its lower revving, more TQ Vblocks

BMW, you have to wring that crap out of it to get good power ( unless its the i6TT)
