Yeah, I am excited to start adding to it. Like I stated above, it doesnt need much, but considering I normally build, not buy, I am going to certainly add my own little touch to it. As evidenced by this thread, 5 years would be an eternity for me as well!

I hear ya, my Xterra is certainly one of a kind! but then again..its just a pile of metal at the end of the day... I wouldn't mind having a Jeep but I can't stand the lack of power in them... Even the new Pentastar seems pretty weak compared to the VQ40 in the Nissan.

It seems modified JK's are stupid priced.. I was contemplating doing a SAS in my X but for what I want.... 10k in parts alone would be EASY....

Anyone like the Raptor? Little pricey.

Ford-Raptor.jpg

Over priced, for a mid travel suspension on a full-size truck. They've had some issues with bending frames... Ford hasnt stood behind the issue. Though, this COULD be from abuse. I think they looks good, and out of the box is probably the best (and only) preruuner option from the factory. Granted, the same suspension performance could be had with FAR cheaper alternatives in the aftermarket. this is a desert runner, not a rock crawler.. If you wanted to go out west and do that, its a good rig... For East Coast stuff? Waste of money.

Well, took forever, but 12v battery and charger are ordered (originally 6v), flat black paint purchased and Ravens stickers are on the kitchen table. Let the build begin!!

So when are u installing a seat that u can fit in?

Ha, one day...

I did just come in from throwing a JKS 1.25" body lift on the Wrangler, though. 2.5 hours, 5 beers and only one trip to home depot...not bad!

I decided to keep my X and finish out this round of mods. 2"Body Lift and 35's.

hmm...what kind of gains are you expecting? I'm assuming this is the V6?

This is the V6 however, it's a 2004 3.0L Taurus V6 instead of the 2.5L V6. My engine is a hybrid engine with a 3.0 short block, 2.5L heads and SVT cams (well they were SVT cams) with a Max extrude honed honed SVT intake. The cams are a complete reprofile so I have no idea on what the results should be. Should be interesting after retune. I'm hoping for at least 10hp/10 tq. We'll see, I'll keep you posted.

After this I am DONE! lol Can't believe I've had this car for 13 years and with 5 miles on the odometer lol

Good man!!

I ordered a JKS 1.25" body lift (already installed), new sway bar quick disconnects, heavy duty axle shafts for the rear (already installed), a 9,500 winch, adjustable front track bar, hilift hood mount and isolator, dual steering stabilizer and some various bushings that needed replacing.
Doing some off-roading with it this year?

That is the plan...still up in the air if I am going to beat this one up, or put a few bucks into the CJ behind it and tow it with the Suburban. If I get the red CJ up and running well enough, I am going to beat the piss out of it!!

Love the jeep dude! I'm a Jeep guy myself as well...if you couldn't tell by the screen name lol. Anyway, I just traded in my lifted '02 sport for a new 2012 sport. I love it so far! Many more creature comforts than what I'm used to lol..best thing is that it's already lifted, running on 35's, bumpers, winch..the whole deal. Plus, it's got power windows and locks, navigation, and a dana 44 rear..really the only thing left that I really want to do with it is put in a dana 44 front, and some lights.

It was sad to see my old jeep go though, that thing got abused and just kept on goin!

I've been driving an '03 Celica for about 10 years, and I just bought myself a 2012 Mazda 3. I do a ton of driving back and forth between southern Delaware and New Jersey, Philadelphia, etc. so the most important thing to me is gas mileage at an affordable price.

Well I made gains with the new cams. I picked up about 6 ft/lbs of torque in the mid-high range and about 3 hp up top. the good thing is I removed the hideous drop off in torque in the low-mid range and picked up 20+ ft/lbs in that area. I pick up the car tomorrow! Can't wait!
