The Car Thread

Good to know...thanks! I cant remember what I put on my Jeeps in the past, but think I am leaning towards the 40 for the Suburban. As shown above in this thread, I just slapped on an cold air intake as well.

Yea wish I could somehow record the sound to show u.. It sounds mean for real..

It has a 350 right? If so, that thing will rumble big time even while idling

Honestly no idea.. Love the Kia forte koup's but I'm leaning towards used...

I could afford a new car but if I wanna get back in school and keep my business stuff in the mix then I should prolly go used

I love the Chrysler 300 but my main goal is to find a good deal

Gotcha...I have never once purchased a new vehicle. And, as you can tell, I have bought, sold and currently own a few vehicles. Used is the way to go, IMO. I cannot really give much of an opinion on either of those vehicles, as they are not my "cup of tea", but good luck in your search!

And more for the thread that I and am single handily keeping alive.....(I'm sad)

Bought (more like stole) a CJ5 five this evening. Needs a bit of work, but for sitting in a field for the last 6 years, surprisingly not as much as one would think and the price was a no brainer. Certainly don't need another vehicle, so this is going to be a restore and sell job. Will post more pics later.

1977 CJ5 with a 304, 4 speed T98 Borg Warner tranny (out of only God knows what), rust FREE factory steel body (needs front fenders and a a new grill), brand new BFG MTs and new white wagon wheels, spring over axle lift with new shocks and some other loose goodies. All this for freakin' $1,500!!!!!!

Yeah, not sure what word you're referring to here...I'm trying, but cannot decipher your code. I'm sure its something simple that's flying over my head, though.

How many times have you gotten "the look" from your wife recently?

With the CJ (the red one) it lasted....well, its still happening. BUT with this one, she was more sold on buying it than I was. Again, great deal and I really wasnt planning on taking on a new client (IT consulting) that was 30 miles away while rocking a suburban. The suburban can now be reserved as the family boat and I can cruise this thing around.

Definitely need to sell the red CJ stat, though. My garage/driveway is looking a bit ridiculous right about now.

Needs a new top motor (brand new top, though), needs all new seats (drivers side is torn pretty good and the rear was burned from cigarettes that actually caught fire), tiny ara of rust needs to be cut out from the passenger door and thats about it. Overall, its in awesome condition for a 13 year old car.

I'm getting an upgrade over my '95 Honda Civic in the summer for my 21st birthday. Thinking about a 2007ish Mustang (black on black). My budget is somewhere between 12,000-15,000. What I REALLY want is a Dodge Challenger, but those are obviously out of my price range. Any opinions on the type of car?

This is what I'm talking about:

You need to define your chin and work on your crows feet STAT.
