no doubt. Electrical problems are a PITA, even in less complicated situations. Every thought about switching to a 1 wire alt?

Yeah, was on Jegs and JC Whitney yesterday looking at 1 wire setups...may go that direction soon. Not to mention the alternator is now the oldest part on the jeep at about 6 years old, yeah its a 77 alright ;)

Just an FYI for anyone. If you need a good headlight restoration. I used the Sylvania kit on mine today. Made em look brand new, got rid of the yellow and haze. Took me 45 mins but it was well worth it. Much more visibility now

I agree. I did the same thing to my headlights this past summer. I was able to remove the headlight from the car so that made things easier. The difference is night and day.

lol nah,im into it for show, never taken it to the track before, and the only upgrade my car has on it is the Intakes, boosting the HP from 332 to 350 hp. nothing else done to it...

Mine is just a Base Model, nothing special, nothing fancy. No Turbo's, No special equipment. No Touring. Nothing but a base. No Blue Tooth, no Navagation, no heated seats, no XM radio. no upgraded BOSE sound system. Just a Base with basic BOSE speakers.

My Z is a 7 speed automatic. when in regular automatic mode, the gears only go 1 through 6,but when you shift the gear over to manuel, the car's system adds another gear to it making it a 7 speed, you can use either the paddle (or slap shifters) located behind the steering wheel or you can use the gear box shifter and shift just like a regular manuel, only difference is that there is no clutch, so when the RPM's get high, just hit the paddle shifters or shift up on the knob ...thats it. Weighing in at just over 3,000 pounds its lighter than its prodcessor..the 350z. it puts out around 270 pounds of torque (before anything modified) and is a handling machine through the turns.

The Rear wheel drive make it not suitable for snow, mainly a spring and summer car, im a Nissan guy for life now.... after sitting in the cockpit of the Z for the very first time (before buying mine) it was love at first sight.... i had to have it..

besides, there's a reason why my insurance is $877 a YEAR for my 2011 Nissan 370z. i dont drive like a bat outta helL lol i drive nice and slow, with the assurance knowing the power is there if i need it.

i simply cant afford everything i want for it. lol.

oh and i bought blind spot mirrors (the blind spots in the Z are horrible. you realyl have to turn your headto check before switching lanes. so the mirrors were a must.

i do however want to do a time trial once my finances get straight and all. The Z is an absolute BLAST to drive. A True Sports car without spending a whole lot of cash. but the only place around where i live... is the Cecil County Drag Strip, which i want an actual track. lol

the other pet peeve that people have about this Z... is the road noise. which this doesnt mind me, sports cars are more geared for the experience, rather than luxury. the road noise i something i pay no attention to, this may differ from person to person but if you really care too much of the noise, then dont get a sports car.

hows that ACT clutch feel?

I have a Stg. 4 Competition Clutch

It's a little heavy but, it needs to be for AWD and a whole bunch of power. I have the Kevlar disc, so it can be a little harsh.

Traction is your downfall. I could be (not saying I am) down 150 hp from that, and beat you like a scalded dawg. : P

A good 60 for your car with drag radials and leaving off a 2 step is probably 1.7-1.8. I leave on 19lbs and crack consistent 1.4-1.5, with a slight spin of all 4 Drag Radials. I'm not a rookie and this isn't the fastest street car I've had but it's probably the most fun. Being able to launch harder then guys with tubbed cars makes me smile.

Yeah from a dig I spin. Tried to set my rev limiter for a good launch but it really dont help much. From a 20mph roll, its a beast. I was neck and neck with a M6 before slowing down

The beauty of my little project is its equally deadly from a dig or a roll, really at any speed. The 4G63 doesn't have as good of cylinder head flow as the K Series but it makes far more power under the curve with the same displacement .
