Is Webb the best corner in the league?

109 posts in this topic

You said it before he began to repeat last years performance. At the quarter point this year he's been one of the best. He has shown so far it wasn't a one of like many players have.

When you said it which I think was the off season he could still have been a one year wonder. He's showing hes here to stay thus far

Webb is one of the best, it will take him a while to catch up to Revis. Jimmy should be up their, we just need to play more man to man. Both CB's excel in man to man, then we have the best hands down. Still

When Ed Reed retires we need to move Webb to the FS posistion. Carry Williams and Jimmy Smith are both capable of taking the starting role of the CB posistion. Plus we will have Suggs back and hopefully Upshaw will produce along with Kruger, Kindle, and Whoever else we have at the time

I hear you but I just can't agree with this idea. Yeah, I think Webb could be a Hell of a FS but a CB is more important than a FS. Also, it is easier to duplicate FS than CB. Typically CBs who can't play the corner very well play safety.

Now, if we draft some top CB or one of our guys develops as good as Webb, maybe. You would need at least two other CBs to develop into what Webb can do now before you could make a move like this and make it make sense.

At this point, I would rather we keep Reed for another two or three years than move Webb. I just feel like that would be foolish. I know you said move him when Reed retires, but even then it really depends on who we have playing around Webb. You just don't make another hole on your team because of a new hole.

Webb and that Brandon Browner guy in Seattle.......As a matter of fact, Seattle has the best secondary in the NFL

That would still be us, actually.

We definitely have the talent, but its hard to say we have one of the best secondaries when they are giving up 29th most passing yards. I know there are other factors involved but its a little difficult right now.

Seattle's secondary is definitely underrated. Sherman and Browner are quite the tandem, and Earl Thomas is one of the better safeties in the NFL.

Don't mean to continue the conversation about Seattle's secondary as opposed to ours, but Kam Chancellor is also one of the better SSs in the NFL. The hit he put on Montario Hardesty is still one of my favorites (Link). Air lifted.

our complete secondary looks very good right now. remember two years ago when it was our weak part of our defense. we had guys like washington and foxworth playing number one receivers. omg lol

Well go back and watch it again. You will see that you are wrong.

I see you are clueless, and continue dwelling on a stupid point. Get a clue I was agreeing to disagree so you can move on in life.

Wish I could have met him. Seems like a nice guy. Happy Bday (even though we don't want you to age so u can be a Raven for life) He cracks my all time Raven list

Anyway. Webb isnt the best CB in the leauge, but when Jimmy starts we may have the best Tandem

Agreed. I think Webb is easily top 5, he is probably 3rd on my list behind Revis and Champ.
