We need to score early and often. This will force their hands into abandoning the run game, and then unleash the "D" we saw at the end of the Pats game.
And when they abandon the run game, let's hope our secondary feasts off of Cassel or Quinn's picks. This would be a great time for Webb to get his first interception of the season.

I say we put Ed and Cary on Bowe, and then Webb on Breaston. Then we stack the box and try our best to shut down Jamaal Charles and Peyton Hillis. Force Cassel to throw (interceptions).
They have a good DT in Tamba Hali (and I'm hearing some praise about this Houston guy), but great DBs in Eric Berry and Flowers. (Even if Flowers doesn't play.) I would like us to run more than we have any game so far this year.
hes an olb, not a dt.

If we want to win this game, I say we pretend like it's 2003. Pretend like Jamal (Rice) and Heap (Pitta) are two of our only offensive players. Run it down their throuts.
Stuff the run, and force Cassel to throw interceptions.
Cassel will probably be more inclined to feel forced and to throw more if they're down by at least 2 scores. Not sure if we can do that just using Pitta/Dickson and Rice.

Plus if the game is close they can still lean on Charles. We need to negate him by scoring fast and early and allowing our D to pin their ears back (see late in the Browns game and Bengals game as a whole).

That KC homefield advantage is something special. Our new no-huddle offense is about to face it's first big challenge.
Joe Flacco and them better be practicing hand signs and stuff

D needs to stuff the run, although that'll put more pressure on our secondary, which hasn't looked too good, when they go to the pass (Cary Williams...nuff said). O needs to open it up early, by pass or run, and ring up a couple scores. It'll take the crowd outta the game, and give our D some room to be aggresive. Rice poundin' + Pitta underneath + Boldin on the edge + Torrey over the top = Ravens win, 33-20

I hope Jimmy covers Baldwin and wrecks him, for the personal satisfaction of one-upping them for jumping us in the draft.

Pitta and Rice are the keys on offense. I would give it to Boldin and Torrey sparingly, and run it down their throuts.
Stuff the run, and force Cassel to throw interceptions.

We know that. The sports gurus know that. The entire Raven's and Chief's fan bases know that. The question is, does the idiot (Cam) know that?

Wouldn't it be grand to win big in KC and have the Iggles pop the stillers in the mouth this weekend to boot? Don't get a lot of Ravens games down here in Central Va. but so far we've seen all four and this one will be televised too! Keep this up and me and wifey can watch the Ravens all year long!

Good to see our D's got some respect for Jamaal Charles but I can't see him with a 200 yard game against us. I will eat a KC jersey whole if that happens.

Let 'er rip Ravens and then bring it home so we can thrash "America's Team!"

Only way I see Chiefs winning us is play like Eagles did. That is to play dirty. When the crowd gets loud, their corners will hold onto our recievers and pass rush will pummel our O-line and sack flacco a few times.

If there is a chance, Harbaugh needs to keep the refs in line to check up on those issue. Else this can eventually be a long day and lose a close game.

Stat shows that chiefs are torrid in run-d and better on pass-d. Considering chiefs arent a offensive threat. It will favor Ray Rice to carry the load and set the tone. That way offense can mix it up.

Just read this encouraging news on ESPN:
Bet you didn't know Flacco already has 11 completions on throws of 20-plus yards this season, which is as many as he has the past two seasons combined. The Chiefs have allowed 13 passes of 20-plus yards this year and have given up the third most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.

Because Ray Rice is a monster and our offensive line does significantly better when the run game has been established.

That's exciting news. Add that to the fact that they aren't that great a run defense and our offense could annihilate them.

I really think that we will be handed the ball a lot in this game via turnovers. We need to continue to capitalize on short field situations. If we pick 2 or 3, and recover a fumble or 2 this game will not be close. Of course, we will all be biting our nails in the 4th quarter when Cassel leads them back for a TD or 2. We are used to the way that the Ravens roll. Earlier, I predicted that we will win by a TD. Now, it will most probably be by 2 or 3.

The team shouldn't take the Chiefs lightly, but I think I might. This is a game that Baltimore should win and if they play the way they are capable of they will. It's pretty much as simple as that.

Im sorry, I just found this too funny. It is not serious (obviously), every single one is funny. Especially the bears one.

It was rhetorical. Our oline has played decent but not great so far all season, regardless of whether or not the run game has been "established." Their worst game was against the Eagles, which was probably due more to the Eagles having the best front 7 we've faced, and not the lack of Ray Rice carries.

The idea that we need to run it down anyone's throat right now is dumb. Flacco is lighting it up. There's no reason to overwork Rice. We'll see the same run-pass ratio we've seen in the first 4 games. I just think its funny people keep clamoring for it.

just remember people the ravens have a thing called "play up/down to your opponent's level", that's what's been killing us.

Don't want to make it too hard, do we? It's not fair if we don't give them a chance!

"Statistically", the Chiefs run d is not as good as their pass d, and their pass rush is fair, so running the ball and short quick passes would take advantage of their "statistical" weakness while negating their pass rush to some degree. Of course if a series of long passes leads to numerous TDs and an overwhelming win I would be fine with that too.

Even more encouraging news from PFT:
With 15 turnovers so far this season — eight lost fumbles and seven interceptions — Kansas City is on pace to turn the ball over 60 times. That’s close to the all-time NFL record of 63 turnovers in a season, set by the 1978 San Francisco 49ers. And with a turnover differential of minus-13, the Chiefs are on pace to finish at minus-52. That would blow away the all-time NFL record of minus-30, set by the 1965 Pittsburgh Steelers.
My Brother went on teams sites and discovered teams who need people at certain positions and he noticed that the lions need corners and a safety and a running back so i personally think we should trade Anthony allen Cary Williams and Sean Cosidine, trade allen for the draft pick williams for Bill Bentley, cosidine for john wendling he would make an excellent aqusition to special teams

Let's think about that in the offseason. Cary I'm all for, but the other guys we don't have enough depth to replace.
Let's beat the Chiefs!
