Albert Breer is reporting the officiating crew for tonight's game. The head ref is Gene Steratore. A notable game in Ravens history that he's officiated was the 33-14 whooping of the Pats in the playoffs two years ago.

This is not Steratore's complete usual crew. This is the guys who were closest and could get here. I expect to see a preseason level of flags (too many), but at least these guys will know where to place the ball and how to enforce penalties without a 15 minute delay.

I am hardly inspired to welcome the old refs back. These are the guys that were making all the bad calls last year. I will quote another poster "Just because McDonald's is better then a TV dinner, doesn't make McDonalds good. They are both crap food."

Eh, I agree the regular refs will hopefully do the sub standard job we're used to, unlike the sub standard job the replacements did. I don't think any of the replacement refs 'flubs' were any more or less game changing than any I can remember in recent history though. Every one of the calls in the past few weeks I have seen made in the past few years, up to and including the Green Bay/Seahawks one courtesy of the Miles Austin/Cromartie simultaneous possession that happened last year. Why wasn't *as* big of a deal made about that one? Because this replacement ref thing has become a circus, and that's the main reason I'm glad it's ending. It's not like in the past there was one call a month or one call a year or something that was bad guys - let's be real.
