Ill say it again I LOVE Ed Hochuli! I may not like his calls but he is fair and manned up when he blew a call in SD.

Yeah, either way the Ravens-Browns game was going to have scab refs... hopefully a new deal won't get worked out until AFTER next Monday night's game so everyone is on the same playing field.

La Canfora just tweeted that a deal is imminent and the real refs would work tomorrow night's game.

Wow! That would be insane if they get this together and in place by tomorrow nights game. My opinion is the owners, NFLPA and other execs would insist it be at the start of a new week, therefore making it be by tomorrow or after Monday. Pretty sure, given the speed this came together following Mondays debacle of a game, they do not want another weeks worth of games played with the current officials.

They'd probably stick us with Ron Winter.

Hochuli is the only one that's ready in all likelihood. He's been trying to get all the refs up to speed on rules changes.

I knew it would. Now while we all know it was the wrong call, at the same time we should be thankful it happened because I doubt the NFL would have hurried up the deal if that didn't happen. So thank you Replacement Officials in Seattle for giving us the real officials back.

Since he's had more time than usual I wonder if his arms are even more bigger than they were last year.

Without the replacement refs we would be 3-0 by now. Yeah, thanks for the 14 penalties called against us during the Pats game you guys!
It's about time.

I'm incredibly surprised that the real refs will be back for our game tonight.

I have a feeling there will still be quite a few bad calls/non-calls due to the refs not having officiated a game in about 9 months, but it can't be worse than the replacement refs, right?

"I'm incredibly surprised that the real refs will be back for our game tonight"

I know right? From all previous reports it would take a week to ratify the contract, perform physicals on the refs, and get them assigned. Now its 24 hours? Good deal from my point of view. I think the league figures they have sufficiently embarassed themselves and the brand.

I hope these guys don't come out rusty and mess up some big calls.

They probably will. Pre-season football with the regular refs was almost as bad as the replacements.

According to ESPN the a.m. the only way to get the NFL (RG) off the negotiating table (my way or the hiway table) is to make a financial impact. The New Jersey Senate has the idea. True football fans will turn off their TVs on Thursday night. Give the NFL a financial glimpse of irate, if you have tickets choose to stay home this Thursday night and the demands of the NFL on referees will disappear. Do it for the sake of the game not because we hate the game. Tough Love. Our Teams deserve our support, protect them, boycott the NFL this Thursday. Give up Thursday. Send your personal message to Roger. His power and influence come directly from us as viewers. Go to the movies on Thursday.
[/quote]

Oh come on. Spare us the class warfare activism. Preach it to Mother Jones. If you're a real "Fan of the NFL" which ALL OF US DOUBT, just get on the Ravens-Browns thread tonight and enjoy it like the rest of us. Mods, feel free to warn me or remove this post. I think we all have strong feelings about this deal and I just reached my threshold with this little troll coming in here like this. Havoc out.

GO RAVENS!
