Good. We would've won the game against the Pats easy without the refs moving the ball for them with stupid penalty calls and overturned INTs.

So I guess the Ravens Browns game may be the last with replacement refs.
It may be. There's no way they show up Thursday. Let's just hope Greg Little doesn't get his fingers on any of Ed's picks.

According to ESPN the a.m. the only way to get the NFL (RG) off the negotiating table (my way or the hiway table) is to make a financial impact. The New Jersey Senate has the idea. True football fans will turn off their TVs on Thursday night. Give the NFL a financial glimpse of irate, if you have tickets choose to stay home this Thursday night and the demands of the NFL on referees will disappear. Do it for the sake of the game not because we hate the game. Tough Love. Our Teams deserve our support, protect them, boycott the NFL this Thursday. Give up Thursday. Send your personal message to Roger. His power and influence come directly from us as viewers. Go to the movies on Thursday.

So you want us to boycott our game? Thanks but no thanks-- I think Baltimore fans got their point across Sunday night.

No idea why you got negged, but had we lost that Pats game on another bogus call/non-call, I was done watching football til the regular crew came back. I'm with you, I'd refuse to support such a garbage product.

NFL Network has been saying all along that it would take a couple of weeks to get the regular refs back after there's an agreement. First they have to ratify it, then they all have to pass their physicals, etc.

Dang- Hadn't thought of the admin part of the process.

That will be the worst part of the agreement process. Feel bad for any team that loses its play off berth in the interim.

Remember Bleacher Report is not the most credible reference-- I could easily look at Hochuli on Thursday lol
Fox News, ESPN and a couple other outlets are reporting the same thing now..

Maybe as early at this weekend. Sounds like Ed Hochuli has stayed in touch with other Ref's to keep current on all the rule changes.

You go ahead and do that. I like my football! I can't see myself boycotting a game I love.

You'll get a better response from the Browns board.

When they return, there will be a lot of mistakes the first couple of weeks. They generally 'work the bugs out' during the preseason, but they had no preseason games this year. Could still be ugly.

Meh. Either way the refs are gonna blow calls and I'm okay with that as long as we never see another Tuck Rule again. Replacement, original it really doesn't matter save for the fact that I know all the original refs and who to hate.

Ed Hochuli is the man!

He's prepping the old refs and keeping them updated on the rulebook.

Ill say it again I LOVE Ed Hochuli! I may not like his calls but he is fair and manned up when he blew a call in SD.
Most of these guys are professionals in other businesses I would expect/ hope they would stay in shape and keep current.

The possibility of the real refs reffing raises an interesting question. Are we more comfortable with the inconsistent replacement refs who have pressure to put on their best show, or the real refs who haven't officiated a game since January and have zero actual experience with new rules.
