I looked at the situation like this. When I worked in school before quitting with my last baby, I always told the kids this. You do something to somebody, even if by complete accident, apologize. Even if you did it in passing and meant no harm at all, apologize. Apologies aren't a sign of weakness. Owning the situation isn't a sign of weakness. Just apologize. Harbaugh, on Sunday night, proved my point. 
He owned the situation, and he apologized for bumping the official. No harm, no foul. I never once believed he called the official some of the names that the Internet social media was throwing around, and this shows that he didn't do anything against the league. Spot on, Commish! Now get this stinking official thing sorted out!
