I just think it's really cool how we now have two teams here that are something to be proud of. It looks more and more like the Orioles will be in the playoffs so we'll have a great chance to have both teams in the playoffs. And last week, the Ravens lost but the Orioles then were able to steal one from Oakland and helped make the Ravens loss feel just a bit better. This week, with both teams playing the New England teams, the Orioles dropped a tough 2-1 game to Boston. The Ravens were then able to come back that night and pick up our spirits after the tough O's loss. I guess my point here is just that it's really awesome that we now have two winning teams to rely on to make us feel good as fans. That is something we have not had around here in a very very long time.
And really quick I wanted to tell how the Ravens may have saved me from a speeding ticket tonight haha. After the game I was driving home and got pulled over going 58 in a 45. The cop saw my Flacco jersey and after getting through all his cop talk he asked if the Ravens won and I said yea they won by a late field goal. He said that that would make his dad happy and he told me to drive home and enjoy the win. No ticket!
