The way Jones makes play after play makes me believe, that Flacco might a lot better than Schaub.
Still, I know where you coming from. I am as happy to see Flacco have more responcibility and play great football as any other Ravens fan, but you are right on the money with his mechanics sometimes lacking in execution. Not often, just a throw here and there, but that can throw a QB out of rythm. I think (well, hope) that fundamentals obsessed Jim Caldwell will solve this as the season progresses.
Joe still looks sharper than ever. We have the 3rd best passing offense in the league right now. How much can we complain, really?

Schaub I would put higher than certain quarterbacks that are in that tier, but definitely below Flacco. In fact, by year's end I've said on here before I believe he will have cemented himself into the conversation of top 5 by year's end, so at least Top 7. Considering how badly Ben, Brees, and other elits are.doing right now, all Joe needs is a ring and he could easily surpass some of them. He's on pace for almost 5000 yards, over 30 touchdowns, and about his yearly average 12 picks. As long as he plays this.well, he should have a great year, the scary thing is, as you and I are talking about, he is not playing close to as good as he can and we all know he can be. If he tightens those mechanics and starts spreading the ball around more, and a few more of.those deep.passes start connecting, how good might Joe Flacco be? Sky is the limit if you ask me. But, as of this.point in time, he's been hot, cold, solid, and everything in between the past 12 quarters. I know there are natural up.and downs, but.the key to being elite as you said is.bouncing back, and I would add shortening the length of time needed to bounce back, and lowering the deviation of his highs and lows. The refs are not helping, and I agree it sucks that when our team complains, we are made fun of my the media, but.now the Patriots complain and everyone's behind them.

Also, Deonte has 3rd most Kickoff yards in the league. Thats a positive!

I absolutely love that kid. So glad (and amazed) that Ozzie and company found this gem.

Did you notice the horrid blocking he got? Please tell me you noticed that. That wasn't on Pierce in the least.

I want to run the ball more!

I actually the running was just about perfect. Most of the time when the two safeties were back we were running it. As soon as they came forward, we audibled and went deep. Kept both options open.

One thing that I don't understand is the cam hate this week. In general, I can understand. I think that he actually called a good game yesterday. He got back to running the ball and the offense had a MONSTER game. Remember, this was supposedly a "revamped" Pat's defense that we were playing. Wilfork was stout as usual, but if I were to grade the rest of their D they'd all get F's.
[/quote]Yeah surprisingly he sticked o the run game, the only really bad playcalls were in the 1st quarter drives and the 4th&1 play.

That was a good play call. It was horribly executed.

I'd much rather have him blocking. He's never been a ball carrying fullback. Not to say he couldn't do it, but when he is feared for his blocking, make him block. That's the situation we signed him for.
