Browns vs. Ravens!

We don't lose to rookie QBs. We eat them.

Oh, and our offense should thrash them. But this does have potential to be a major trap game. Should be an easy game plan defensively. Stack the box, blitz a lot, and stop the run. Force Weeden to beat us.

Yep. Trap game, anyone?
Good teams win 'trap games' especially at home. With murderers row of elite QB's this season, we cannot afford trap game losses.

There is no team I enjoy watching the Ravens destroy more than the Browns. I will never forget my favorite regular season game in the history of the Ravens. The first year the Browns team came back and all of the national media said how Cleveland has the best fans in the NFL and they would win no other games but this one. Next thing you know Jermaine lewis returns a kick for a score and the Ravens start rolling. Everyone in the stands jaws just dropped. The "best" fans in the NFL were no where to be seen by halftime.

On Offense: There is nothing I would like to see better than to have the single game rushing record reclaimed in Baltimore as Jamal once did on cleveland. Rice can break that record as well as add on 75+ through the air. with Rice over 150 combined yards by halftime Flacco has all the time in the world to play-pass and is completely untouched with recievers coming open very quickly. Flacco throws for 275 and 3 scores, no interceptions.

On Defense: This could be one of the worst offenses in the entire NFL. There are no playmaking pass catchers of any kind. it will be amazing how much better Carry and Jimmy look in this game. With Nagta regualarly in Weeden's lap he will force the ball to blanketed receivers and Ed Reed will catch 2, including one for a score. upshaw could finally have a breakout game with 4 sacks on the day. Webb will get one late to ice the game. With the score quickly out of hand the Richardson will be a non-factor. he is quite overrated anyway in my opinion. The only thing the Browns could have a little success with is their kick return game. i say this will lead to 3 field goals by the Browns.

Final Score - Ravens 38 - Browns 9

The Browns outlook is very bleak for this year and the future. Completely inept in the front office into giving up alot of picks for a couple of very average to below average playmakers on offense. There are a few solid players on the defensive side of the ball, but they will be long gone before this offense can even be a middle of the road unit. There seems to be no end in sight to the Browns ineptitude. Final record will be 3-13 finnishing last in nearly all offensive categories and near the bottom of the league in rushing allowed once again. their pass defense numbers will be artificially high once again from no one bothering to throw late in the year. Could make a move to pass the Raiders and Bengals as the absolute worst run franchises in the NFL.

I think we jump up 2 or 3 TD's early and then take our foot off the gas... as always. Browns cut the lead but we keep it just outta reach.

21 - 10

We will. Our game plans against Vick and Brady didn't really dictated heavy blitzes. But against a rookie QB - game on. We'll see some nice blitzes, confuse the raw rook. Force him to make mistakes.

Yeaaaa, see the thing is that for the past three weeks we have faced Andy Dalton, Mike Vick and Tom Brady. One is a good QB in his second year who has a heck of an arm, the second is a guy who can beat you with his arm and his feet and the last is Tom Brady. Not much room there for error and just pass rushing like mad would do nothing but defeat our defense the way it is at the moment. I'd say Pees gets a solid B from me right now. He's down a bunch of solid players; those that are injured and those that we let go in the off-season. He's gotta work with what he's gotta work with and I'm going on record as saying that if we had Jarrett Johnson and Cory Redding, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Time to take out the trash. Last night was for Torrey and his family. Thursday night is for Art and his family.

Lights out, Cleveland.

On paper we should destroy the Browns. However, things rarely go as they should though. I also heard the officials are the same ones that did tonight's MNF disaster (can anyone confirm) so that could be a huge wildcard.

Short week after an emotional game could be an ugly one. I still think we come out on top though maybe not a blowout.

Maybe your are being too confident but I hope you are right. There are reasons to be emotionally careful and a little worried going into Thursday night.

1. Everyone knows how we usually play after an emotional victory.
2. With replacement Refs anything can happen.
3. Remember the Titans and Jacksonville from last season, and the Eagles from a week ago after convincing victories.

A week ago I never suspected the 49ers could lose to the Vikings. This time last year (or even at the end of the regular season) who picked the Giants to win the Superbowl? The NFL is becoming the Week To Week League (WTWL).

HOPEFULLY, the Ravens will survive this week with a win and have a 3-1 record after four games.

This game will tell us a lot about our coaching staff.
No offense, but what can this game tell us about our coaching staff that we don't already know? That Pees is more like Mattison than Pags or that Cam can honestly call a brilliant game. No, I expect to see more conservative playcalling in this one on both sides of the ball. Sorry, but I'm not sure our staff knows how to go for the jugular. If it happens, I'll be pleasantly surprised and happy to eat my words.

I'm curious to see how Weeden looks because I don't know if I am sold on him yet or not. He has a pretty good arm from what I've seen so far and his accuracy has improved over week 1. He still has receivers that can't catch a cold (Greg Little for example..) and that hasn't helped him either.

I think Trent can have a decent game but I'd love to see them get him out in space more where he can be very effective. He's not just a run uphill RB like they've been using him as the majority of his carries.

I will agree with you on some of this but not all. They haven't given up a "ton" of draft picks; most notably a 2nd round pick for next year's draft but really that's about the only significant one. I think the past couple of years they have drafted decently; Sheard and Taylor are two pretty solid defensive picks. Unfortunately right now we have a VERY young defense and we're missing our two best players on it with Haden and Taylor. There is no doubt that really besides Richardson they have zero on offense; I'd say Cribbs but they hardly ever use him as a WR for some reason. Weeden could develop into a decent QB I believe but at the same time who the heck does he have to learn from? Colt McCoy? Yeah ok.

I will agree that from a top to bottom organizational aspect they are poorly run and hopefully the new owner will right that ship. Randy Lerner was never really interested in running a franchise and did a terrible job at it. Winning has to be built from the top and that has yet to happen since they came back in '99. I think the future isn't as bleak as people make it sound or seem but I will say right now they are the worst run franchise in the NFL.

I am glad we came out of the Patriots game mostly injury free, unlike the week before. That is important on a very short week. 3-1 with the AFC North Lead, wins over two division opponents, and head to head tiebreaker over the Patriots sounds pretty good to me.

Hey, first time post for me. Die hard Ravens fan from Kentucky here. I bleed purple, 'nuff said. Like mentioned above, should be an easy win this Thursday night and then get some extra time off. I have been a fan since '96 and about the only thing i don't know about the team is when and how they decide to wear their all black uni's, anyone know?.......I have seen them at night games only...well, this past Sunday was at night.

Without Joe Haden, we shouldn't have any real issues on Offense... just be aware of Jackson over the middle.

Brandon Weeden is probably having nightmares.

FYI, You can still buy tickets (not just single seats) for Thursdays nights game against the Browns on Ticketmaster (at face value). There seems to be a lot of tickets left still.

Just because its the Browns doesn't mean its a night off. Its a national televised game and we should show off our fandom.

Oh, that's right! That only happened in my Madden NFL 12 franchise with the Jacksonville Jaguars, when I took Blaine Gabbert and made him surpass the likes of Joe Montana, Johnny Unitas, John Elway and Dan Marino to become the greatest QB of all-time. Silly me...

Seriously, though: The Ravens are extremely lucky to get this Thursday Night Football game at The Bank. I can't imagine how much of a pain it is to travel on a Wednesday (or early on a Thursday) and play a game, only a mere 4 days since your last contest. Even for the Cleveland Browns, that still must be a pain.

Actually, it's been two years in-a-row Baltimore has gotten lucky. Remember, that game against the Niners was on Thanksgiving night. Man, that match-up was such a fun, hard fought, old school battle.

I wouldn't say we are lucky...coming off a sunday night game is a disadvantage. If we werent at home it would be even worse.
