Williams is still brutal, 10 yard cushion, lets the guy run by him, turns awkwardly to run, grabs him and commits PI. That play alone is a perfect example why.

You said it, That Play, Your post looks like it would fit J.Smith if you wrote " on All Plays " lol

I love the passion Cary plays with. Sometimes he lets his emotions get the better of him, llike the Philly game, but for the most part he's good.

I saw someone say his Ints are lucky. Sounds like hater talk to me, if Ed Reed picking off a tipped ball isn't luck, then none of Cary's are luck either.

Cary did a great job on Wallace. That first play, basically the entire defense was fooled, but Cary did a great job of getting back in the play. What they call PI on that play, Torrey has that happen almost every 9 route.

I think it took Cary some time to adjust to the hip surgery, now he's playing a lot like he did last season. Also when u watch 1the Winning Drive, you see a teammate pushing Cary to be great each week. Ray pushes him to be a better pro. I can't wait to see him against the Chargers

I must admit that ever since that Pats game he has drastically improved his play. There were a couple times against Pittsburgh where he was off (the PI on the first play and another time when he didn't turn around [a flash of his former self]), but overall I too am glad we have him now.
I've been as hard on him as anybody, but even I must ask myself, where would we be if not for his 4 interceptions? Though luck certainly helped too. ;)

I still don't understand your incessant defense of Williams. At least I admit JSmith has to improve, but he's also 4 years younger than Williams. You act as if Williams is a legit top calibre NFL DB and he's not.

And I said "that play alone", meaning that one play in of itself can describe every single problem with Williams coverage abilities. That doesn't mean thats the only time Williams has done that.

Is he bad or is he good? I saw him trailing a guy by like 5 steps.
What's up?

He's the Joe Flacco of the defense. What I mean by that is some think he's the best and some think he's terrible. Then you have those in the middle who recognize he's a good player but requires some help from those around him to be successful. In fairness, he's not awful but he's not that good.

I hope my Flacco analogy doesn't transform this into a Flacco thread. I just meant that as an example of how divisive he is.
