Pretty good game today by Cary, looks like he's gaining some confidence.
[/quote]

Definitely. He did very well in coverage. I hope he keeps it up against Pittsburgh next week.

Yeah I was pretty excited for him today. I thought he was going to be a target all day long.

Good for him.

Cary has gotten better. If he keeps it up that would be great.

Allowed, you mean. Don't worry. I still wouldn't go near it. There aren't any seat belts on wagons and it's been a bumpy ride thus far lol

Cary definitely playd better today, but maybe part of that was the ineptitude of Corey Graham? Not trying to take anything from Cary but I dont think he was targeted very often. That one pass break up on the dep ball was real nice. CB is so dependent on confidence I hope he keeps it up.

Could be, and like you said, it's not taking anything away from Cary. But Graham's performance definitely wasn't one of the bright spots.

It's funny how fast people forget how well Cary Williams played last year. And often times he was on the opposing team's best receiver because the Ravens have this long-standing lunacy policy that corners must always play the same side of the field, no matter which receiver lines up there.

I don't know if Cary improved or the competition got worse. I still don't trust him. We miss LW badly..........

And he is making it awfully hard to support him when he stomps around and acts like he is "all world" every time he defends a pass. Just get back to the huddle and think about the next play!

We haven't forgotten at all! We remember that very well! We just don't care what he did LAST YEAR because LAST YEAR is over.

What's even funnier is that Cary didn't play well last year.

This. A thousand times over. He was picked on last year, just like he has been for much of this season, but our pass- rush was able to mask a lot of his shortcomings.

So true. I personally still believe & support Jimmy Smith over Williams. No offense to Williams, but the only edge Williams has on Smith is his experience. Once Smith gets his mind right he will be a shut-down corner. Smith needs to stop getting those penalties and biting on double moves.

People act like just because he's had some INTs he's all-pro. If I recall correctly, Smith made one of the best INTs last year--an inch off of the ground!

Thank you. I'm a little surprised that a large portion of people recall that he did. As for his point about Cary always facing the #1 WRs, that's somewhat erroneous. Out of his 68 targets, he was targeted just 37 times while covering the opposing team's top wideout, so it's not as if they've thrown the best receiver to his side every time. And that's if we're counting Brandon Lloyd as New England's top WR, with Wes Welker always being in the slot, a game wherein he saw 10 of the aforementioned targets.
