Torrey Smith's Brother Killed in Accident

90 posts in this topic

man, that's heartbreaking to hear one of your family gone forever; indescribable feelings and my prayer goes out for his brother and family....

Sources have confirmed Smith will play and I believe he will play too cuz he wants to somehow dedicate his best performance to his younger brother. It's sort of like self-consodences......

/pray

The courage and dedication it must take to play football on a national stage after this is mind-boggling. Good luck tonight, Torrey.

Condolences to you and your family. Burying kids is a real tragedy.

As someone who has lost a father, brother, sister and daughter in my immediate family alone I know this is going to galvanize his life and resolve like nothing else, the game is just an extension of life and as a man you live or die by deeds.

God bless Torrey Smith.
who quoted that? That grammar doesn't seem like a reliable source to be fair

I will support whatever decision he makes, but if it were me, I would be with my family tonight. That's why there are backups in the NFL. Someone will fill in for him. We'll miss him, but I'm sure his mother needs his presence now.

Sit this one out, Torrey. I've heard of players coming back a few days after a loved one's death, but we're talking about less than 24 hours here. He should really be with his family tonight. I'm sure Deonte, LaQuan, and Doss can handle the load for the night.

@arnie_uk

just quoted it from AsianRice ... ESPN reports too that he wants to play!

It was more a "if he plays" from me!

And about the grammar ... i don`t care about things like that... i am german and english isn`t my native language... ravens have alot of international fans...

My condolences go out to Torrey Smith and his family for the passing of his brother. Torrey Smith helped raise his siblings so I know it's hurting him to his heart. He deserves time off he doesn't want to want to play tonight with a heavy heart. Torrey Smith has so much class and is a great person so I hope he can get pass the passing of his brother.#RIP Tevin.
what I meant was it, with the grammar I knew it was Jason la c or adam s or someone reliable saying he was playing. The quote looked like it was someone with inside knowledge knew he was playing, but the grammar made it look like it wasn't a reliable source. It had nothing to do with your grammar.

Let's skip the critique of posts and stick to the subject, please. I don't think this is the thread for beating up on each other's posts.

I am sure he will make the best deccision for himself and his family and everyone of us will suport him! And if he misses the game Thompson, Williams or Doss will step-up and have a big game for him!

I've been following this for about an hour, and I just can't believe it. I didn't know Tevin, obviously, but when you're a Ravens fan, it kinda feels like everyone on the team is in your family, and that you know them personally. I just hate this for Torrey and his family. It's awful.

If he doesn't play tonight, then I'll understand 100%. He needs to take care of his family, and I hope the Ravens get it done for Torrey and his family tonight.

R.I.P.Tevin Chris Jones.

It's always rough to lose a family member.. Prayers go out to Torrey's family and friends they need to stick together and be strong for one another.. I've seen people react positively and negatively to family death.....
