You know, he doesn't even seem like the same person he was back in 2000 to (like) 2006. Back then, Belichick was very calm, took things very business like and just let game take place. Then, in 2007, the whole running-up the score "debate" began. Although, I thought the entire thing was blown out of proportion, he seemed like another person.

But, now? Bill Belichick is getting angry over everything. Yelling at players and the refs. It's almost like he's become a parody of his (former) self. Heck, last year, I (sarcastically) joked about how the Patriots using players like Julian Edelman on defense and Belichick having to go deep to fill-out his positions was causing a great deal of stress on him. Sadly, I think the "downfall" is inevitable, at this point...
He could end up in a padded room when it's all said in done. You don't lay your hands on an official...

Talk slick about my QB. Marched you the field. Had a decent game.
I just want to see him do it consistently for once. The game was UGLY to start. No more of this jekyll and hyde stuff within each game.

Okay. Just my two cents.

We won, but the refs still sucked. They were the ones that helped us get that touchdown to get close to the pats - no questions asked. If they hadn't made some terrible calls on that second to last drive, it's very likely we would have lost.

Alas. A win. Improbable, but I'll take it!

Ed Reed also came up with a huge stop on a 100% clean hit (led with his shoulder), Pats get a free 1st down and 3 points instead of having to punt. Their db's held us all night and was only called maybe 1/5 times. Webb played his man the same way the pats were playing our wr's and got called for it on his INT, Cary also get's a cheap PI for routine contact on the route, Wilfork jumps into the neutral zone, our O-Lineman reacts and get's called for false start, stalling out our drive instead of having 2nd and 5.. Pats got more benefit from the Refs then we did. Our guys over came a lot (including bad calls) to pull this win out tonight.

Such an awesome game, totally loved how the Ravens were able to win.
people like you grind my gears. Ed reeds hit wasn't legal. You can't hit a defenceless receiver on the head period. Doesn't matter with what body part. I expect a fine for that hit. We got 5 or 6 defence holding calls, we can't complain there. Webb had a chunk of welkers shirt, they were calling that for us, that's called consistency. Yanda reacted very late, but I didn't know there was a time limit on it. Wilfork was still in neutral zone when yanda moved. Apart from that one and a yanda holding call that I failed to see, and the missed push off by lloyd on Cary I thought the refs benefited us. They mad bad calls both sides, but I thought we came out on top, by a long way

No surprise we can't beat the Pats. Belichick and co vs Harbaugh/Cam/Pees. It's not even fair.

It's no wonder than Pees was run out of NE.

Link to material removed???? Why?

Enter at your own risk. Remember the rant that kicker went on about Ayebajaja's stance on gay marriage? Thats still up I imagine.

As we all sit here at work half asleep on Monday morning we can rest assured that the Ravens gave 110% in the 4th quarter to win that game. I wasn't convinced that we could overcome the 9 point deficit, but they sure proved me wrong. Sometimes, it's a game of inches but that win was an eraser to wipe away some of the bad feelings of the AFC championship game.

My roommate wanted to play a video game on my computer so I couldnt be on the forum towards the end. I bet i missed some great posts. My thoughts on the kick, "Oh great, again? Wait what? It was good? Holy crap!!!" I woke my other roommates in other rooms up with my cheering.

Hind sight blah blah blah.

Or whatever they say.
Not hind sight. It was the right call to kick it given the circumstances. If we are there again, it will be a FG attempt. Blah blah blah........

That 4th down call will come back to haunt us. I would have let Tucker launch one.

Wow, Deadspin reports the "streaker" that went out on the field during last night's game is the exact same person who went streaking on the field of Oriole Park at Camden Yards on Opening Day of the Orioles this year!!!! http://deadspin.com/5945738/tonights-idiot-on-the-field-in-baltimore-proved-elusive-for-mt-bank-stadium-security

Sorry to nitpick but that wasn't a defenseless receiver. A defenseless receiver is one that doesn't have the ball. If you have the ball, you can get hit - period. That's just making a tackle.
while he lowered his head to brace for the hit, in the rule book that's not a football move. And so he is a defenceless receiver in the eyes of the law. To be Im all for it, let the hit go, theyre playing a man's game. But by the law its a penalty. Bracing for hit fot some reason isn't a football move.

Reed aimed the chest, he ducked. Reed hit helmet, by law a penalty. But what was he too do, let him walk in? It's a joke but the law

I would still call that protecting himself. Ed didn't use his head to contact the receiver at all. He was standing vertically to make the tackle. There's no way Branch could have been hit in the head unless he lowered it to protect himself. I think the call was only made because of the intensity of the hit, not where he hit. If he hit Branch in the head at that intensity, Branch would still be on the ground.

(After looking up the definition, I guess you CAN catch the ball and still be defenseless, but you would only be called as such if you get hit head-to-head. You wouldn't say that a waist-high tackle before the defender turns around is a tackle on a defenseless receiver because why would you need to?)

No..thats YOUR interpretation of the rule.. and each offical has his own opinion.. THATS the problem.
how's that an interpretation? Happens all the time. When a receiver doesn't make a football move and gets hit on the head its a pen. Look it up, its a clear rule.

But what I don't understand is, if he braces for a hit, how is he still defenceless? Frankly, he's not defencless anymore but that doesn't matter to the refs and NFL. I think its stupid, but by the rules its a penalty. So was the one in the endzone they didnt call if he hit him on the head, I missed the replay.

I dont need to look it up..You're missing the point.. there isnt a consistent Interpretation of the rule officials will sometimes call it and sometimes not. First its no helmet to helmet..then its no head contact..then there's a "strike zone" . You 't hit them too low or too high... Its getting to be a joke.. I personally dont think Ed did ANYTHING wrong.. at ALL on either play. I
awh I understand what you saying now, and I totally agree, how could ed avoid that, branch made the head contact of anything my bracing and ducking his head down to the chest area reed was already committed to. But if you hit a receiver on the head, before he makes a football move, no matter who's at fauly, what height the WRs head at be it full upright position or crouched down waist high, contact with the head, expect a flag.
