Apparently...the sky has fallen because of this loss. one loss

11 posts in this topic

So after seeing about 15 threads complaining about bad calls, flaccos demeanor, fire pees, is harbaugh a good coach...i just couldnt take anymore, i cant even look at this forum. You people act like we lost to the browns or something...the eagles are a no joke contender reguardless of the turnovers. they find a way to win. Did we get robbed of a jacoby jones td...possibly...were there more calls on us that werent called..of course. You people act like this one loss to an extremely talented team is the end of the world. Do we have pass rush problems..obviously. do we have some OC concerns...when do we not. do we have secondary concerns, yep. But guess what, adjustments will be made. We lost by one point...one. on the road. harbaugh is a great coach, hes proved it in the last 4 years. pees has some proving to do. we all know about cam. im sold on flacco, some arent. The idea of this thread....chill out. Its one game, its week two. we lost to worse teams last year

Welcome to the Internet, where emotions and anonymity collide.

I hate sky-is-falling threads, too. But, that's the nature of an emotional sport like football. People make snap judgments.

I just choose not to dwell on these things. I never want to experience the 2005 and 2007 seasons again. Therefore, I try to enjoy the magical ride of every season as if it's 2006 or 2008 and hope for the best.

I feel like this thread is redundant. But yeah, people need to calm the hell down. It's almost embarrassing how people have overreacted to a 1 point loss to a NFC powerhouse who is a favorite to reach the Super Bowl.

There are hundreds if not millions of people that could fill roles in football better than some of the coaches we have out there. Those people just chose different job paths.

There are Billions of people on the planet, and I am sure of that billions are few preoccupied or incapable of fixing Ravens problems when they lose.

Instead, we get fellas like Cam Cameron and Harbaugh, who happen to fill the slot at the time. Its the nature of human life. So, when you see someone get upset, don't try to play the moral highground, because they could be an ace neuro surgeon professional football gambler letting off steam for all you know.

I know a fella(millionaire) that bet and lost 56k on the lions game ffs that preceded to rant and rage on another forum.

[/quote]I'm sorry, but if you have the dough to gamble on something as unpredictable as football then you have no grounds to rant and rage. That's insane. People don't make 56K in an entire year and this guy you know pissed that away on a Sunday afternoon? That actually makes me mad...

The question is: is this thread any better than the threads you're complaining about? The answer is:......NO. You could have just not contributed to those threads and as has always been on these boards, they would eventually disappear. No, you had to make a brand new thread bringing the aforementioned threads to the forefront. Thanks a lot! In the future, when considering making a thread complaining about complaining, you should really think about it before pulling the trigger. Cheers.

I agree with you about all the whining and hand wringing, but I do not understand all the "Eagles as powerhouse" and "Eagles as SB contender". Where does that come from? Last year they were 8-8. Barely. So far this year they just scraped by with the Browns and barely beat us too. Seriously, why are they considered a SB contenders? I do not see it. I do not think they are even play off contenders. Of course, what do I know? I have been predicting a Ravens SB for the last 4 years.

They sky is not falling.
That I think is true. But we were on a terrible game plan that has to fix itself and those reffs were [Don't say it]!
That has to stop. But it is not the end of the world, just a dissapointment.
