How would you attack our defense?

Pollard is a classic Raven. What a good pickup. Fans were upset because Zibby/Haruki weren't going to get to start when we first signed him. I knew from the beginning how good he would be for us. He is what Dawan Landry was supposed to turn into.

[E] Just checked out Landry's stats with us. It's actually a shame we couldn't hold on to him. Pollard is still great though!
I wanted to keep Landry as well. We can't pay everybody though.

This is true. I didn't realize 2008 was the year he got hurt. He probably would have been really beneficial to that team.

Forget Landry. He's half the safety Pollard is. He's awful in coverage, and his tackling is suspect. Remember that missed tackle against the Steelers that went for a TD?

Landry could have been a great hitting safety, but he was never the same after his injury and the Jaguars overpaid him.

Simple, use this guy.

In lieu of that have a decent o-line and fast pass catchers; speed kills.

Right now I would run right up the gut. Our interior defensive line is weak right now (Ngata, Cody, other guys inside).

I would also attack with passing routes over the middle, trying to isolate our MLBs.
Ngata an Cody inside are weak all of a sudden? Lol

There is nothing tricky about the 2012 Ravens defense. I'd go through my scripted plays like teams do on offense every game, and find the holes. Pees doesn't seem to adjust. Figure out what works and keep doing it over and over again.

Game 2: 3 catches-38 yards-0 TD
Game 3: 3 catches-35 yards-0 TD
Game 4: 2 catches-12 yards-0 TD
Game 5: 2 catches-13 yards-0 TD
Game 6: 1 catch-13 yards-0 TD
Game 7: 4 catches-32 yards-0 TD
Game 8: 5 catches-73 yards-0 TD
Game 9: 5 catches-39 yards-0 TD
Game 10: 4 catches-54 yards-0 TD (No Ray)
Game 11: 4 catches-38 yards-0 TD (No Ray)
Game 12: 5 catches-62 yards-1 TD (No Ray)
Game 13: 3 catches-30 yards-0 TD (No Ray)
Game 14: 4 catches-40 yards-0 TD
Game 15: 6 catches-38 yards-0 TD
Game 16: 7 catches-81 yards-0 TD

Game 1 (2012): 3 catches-30 yards-0 TD

TOTAL: 17 Games, 64 catches, 670 yards, 2 TD

Averages out to: 3.76 catches, 39.4 yards

I don't think 1 game changes a 17 game trend.

Our man with the stats. Alright thanks.

Landry? Really RBates? Dude was a bum after his neck injury.

Thought you were better than that...
I say it's a little harsh to call him a bum. Sure he struggled with coverage but he made 111 tackles in 2010 and picked 4 passes in 2009.
But Pollard is an upgrade, no doubt.

Send all my passing plays on the side Ed Reed is on. Sure one might get picked off, but I don't have to really worry about him tackling my guy. And if he does miraculously tackle said player, he would probably be slow to get up and probably injured...

Not to mention he'd probably gamble, go for the ball, and leave the guy open from time to time.

Yeah. It would actually be a great tactic.

Behind the linebackers. Quick snap counts to tire out our D, which has lost starters. This may mean the depth is lacking. Stunting and such will have us out of position on quick snap running plays.

I would avoid throwin deep. Our DB's may not be real physical, without Pollard, but they react well.

Any one fear Webb or Reed in the box ?

I'd run it off the tackles and throw towards the flats. Id target our young olb. The reason being that they are the only difference between our number 3 defense last year and our number 27 defense this year.

People should Webb's lit up Dalton and Vick in the past two weeks. Look what Ed did to Sanchez in 2011.

We're the 27th defense after playing two games. Rankings have very little credibility in week 3. Come on now!

Didnt say the rankings meant anything but they are what they are. Also even if it is two games this is almost unheard of for our defense

Yardage doesn't mean much in defensive rankings. I'd gladly give up 1000 yards a game if the team only scores 17 points, so don't read too much into that 27th ranking after two weeks.

But if I were to game plan against the defense, I'd pretty much throw every single play to Cary's side. I'll motion to try to get my best receiver matched up against him. He's easily has been our worst defender so far this year, starter or bench. If he starts to get more safety help over the top or LB help underneath, I'll just attack those vacant spots with my TE. And I'll mix in some running plays to keep the defense honest.

Pretty much Philly's gameplan from Sunday.

Just use TEs Since the Ravens are blind to TEs, forget throwing to WRs lol.
