2 reasons we lost

I agree 100% on this. Now to be honest, I LOVED that "younse" lost, I KNOW its only a little bump in the road. Next week, I will take you over the Patriots, especially that Hernandez is out for 6-8 weeks now on the Patriots. My whole point about your team is when Flacco or Slacco" is going to show up. Why did Slacco not audible or check down or change plays that were passing to running? I just hope you can stay healthy and get the unhealthy players back all season as well as us "Stillers" especially when we MEET. If the steelers do not get to the SB, I WANT YOU GUYS TO REPRESENT THE AFC. You have too many weapons in all phases of the game. Just remember what I said before about Flacco or Slacco though....I have always been suspect of his play ( even though I would take him in the top 12 QB's in this league. If he did not have an offense and defense like you have, I would bet Flacco would be in the bottom third of the QB's.
To be honest, I think Flacco would be better had he been put on a more offensive minded team with better weapons than he had his first 4 years.

I feel like something is going on behind the scenes that we are not aware if. Seems stupid that we gave up on no huddle so easily, and Joe didn't seem to do anything except go along with it.

Joe Flacco can audible at any giving time so i dont see how the game was ripped away out of his hand's . Flacco could had audible to a run play but he and Cam wanted to be so pass happy. Flacco has sees what defense is giving him and we all know he has every right to change a play but he obviously thought plays from cam were fine . i agree with everything else you said about the defense

Exactly. I.don't like Cam, and I love Flacco but he is also responsible now
I think what we are missing is that the the O is not quite ready to take the no huddle and frequent audible show on the road. I mentioned in another thread a pregame interview with Pitta that was on 98 rock. In that interview Dennis mentioned that there is still a lot of work that needs to be done with on field communications, especially non verbal. Away from from home with all of the noise, it would seem crucial to have this down to be able to properly change the play at the los. I could be wrong, but let's see how things work out at home this week.

1.) I was at this game, I talked to PHILLY fans around me and we all agreed, their corners were holding and disrupting our receivers so far past 5 yards it wasn't funny. Even.the Jones touchdown, he pushed off because he was being held. Nnamdi was not even turning his body or head around to play the ball which should of been a penalty each time. Joe basically could throw it back shoulder and hope they got free, hope Pitta was open, or try Rice. Problem was also there was pressure in his face. Which brings me to this

2.) We didn't make the proper adjustments on offense or defense. We should have ran more and used play action, screens, and some bunch formations to get our offense moving. And I blame Joe, Cameron, and Harbs. I didn't like our defense playing such a deep zone. We were leaving Celek wide open because the zones would get spread back.because Vick had plenty of time. I thought we should have put Webb on Maclin, Pollard and Williams on Jackson, and then played Vick and their TEs physical.

Joe should have made adjustments on.the sideline with Cam, and Harbs should have stepped in when it didn't happen. But refs also were killing us. Move on though, we lost week 2 last year and still made it one drop away from Superbowl, I'm not worried yet.
I agree totally, but what about your defense...they ggave up 486 yards .....I can promise that no one will get even 300 yards the rest of the season let alone 400....just a bump, in the road...I would worry about Flacco though......If Flacco shows up versus slacco against the Patriots you will win....PERIOD Your only weakness is who is going to show up and PLAY call against the defense that you see and audible correctly 60% of the time and execute. Get healthy RAVENS and STEELERS when we meet and may the best team win...One of us will represent the AFC in the SB I hope.

I disagree. You have to use the run to set up the pass and vice versa. Ray Rice can and should be used more often to keep the defense honest. Play action can't be used until he gets going. Passes down field should set up big runs. Rice is as consistent as they come at running back. No need to force passes when the other team has a problem stopping the run.
You make it sound like we should be predominantly running the ball with which I strongly disagree with. The first half of that game against the Eagles was great! Because we used the passing and the running game wisely.
The pass should be our primary attack, that's just the way the league is right now. Teams can score points too fast to ground and pound and allow games to be decided by one play (aka drop in the AFCCG). However that doesn't mean we have to throw the ball on every down, even if it doesn't make sense like for example for short yard gains.
That is the problem. The big plays Ray was able to make early on were a result of Joe effectively passing and mixing running plays in between it and keep the Eagles D guessing.
Suddenly we stopped our up-tempo offense of the pass seting up the run for no good reason and when we finally were handing over the ball to Rice in later parts of the game, the Eagles defense knew, what we would be doing and stopped Rice easily.
Handing over the offense to Flacco, doesn't mean you can or have to just abandon the run (even Aaron Rodgers can't win games like this as we have seen). Neither is this set back, which btw is no reason to panic, a cause for concern that the no-huddle won't work. For the few moments when we ran it, it did work.

I do not agree with the statement that the D did not have a bad game. They gave up over 500 YARDS!! Thank god they stepped up and created those three turnovers in the redzone or else the Ravens would have been blown out of the game. Through two game in the season, the Ravens D is ranked like 28th or something like that in yards allowed. That is a god awful stat that needs to be addressed. I know you guys will say that yards allowed isnt the key stat and that points are. But next week if Brady is in the redzone three times, I dont think he will be gift wrapping TO's for us.
We are 26th in pass defense and 20th in rush defense. 27th overall. It's not Ravens football, that's for sure. The only reason we've managed to keep the scores low is because of turnovers: 3 INTs and 2 FF. If not for that, we'd be middle of the road at best in points allowed, as well. Luckily, we've had a fairly opportunistic defense, which has allowed us to be top 10 in points allowed. But that has been largely a factor of luck so far. In terms of yardage allowed, we're bottom 5. BOTTOM 5! If the takeaways start to trend downward, then we could be in for the worst Ravens defense in over a decade.
No that is not what I'm saying. I'm saying we should run the offense through Rice. Rice makes this offense go, as we have seen throughout his tenure here. If Ray Rice gets his touches we win. We are trying way to hard to make Flacco the elite quarterback we know he can be, instead of playing our game and letting it come to him naturally. It seems that we have turned into a pass happy offense, but there is only one problem, we are having trouble passing.

Well it's been a wile sense I've posted on the Ravens site . But here goes . No mater what anyone says the Ravens where jobbed in Philly . I know the substitution refs made a lot of bad calls on both teams but the one bad call against the Ravens in the end zone that should have been a touchdown is the one that did them in . This is the regular season and the games are too important to have referees that do not know what they are doing .

They gave up so many yards because they were constantly put back on the field. They got 4 turnovers. I didn't say it was great, but they did enough to win.

We are going to stay pass happy. Flacco has been saying all week, you gotta go through some growing pains, you have to let Flacco lose a few games. That's just the way it is, no one just becomes elite. There are a few lessons to be learned by the offensive line (They got schooled, Trent Cole put Oher in his back pocket) recieving core got some great experience against the best secondary in the league. Flacco having to play through that rib injury, and gaining even more trust in Dennis Pitta.

Just relax, it was a great game to watch, let's take this show back to Baltimore and get physical with the Patriots. If we get pressure on Brady and get his Uggs dirty we can win that game. But if we do so happen to go 1-2 it wont be the end of the world.

Agreed, the run/pass mix was good in the first half when the offense was productive. They got pass happy for some crazy reason right out of the blocks in the second half and took rice out of the game. I guess Cam forgot to pull the 2011 pages out of his second half playbook; or Flacco got a little to cocky with his first half success.

Reason why your team lost

1. Eagles statistically dominated on both sides of the ball the whole game. They also dominated time of possession

2. Better PlayCalling

3. Eagles have a better ofense and defense than the Ravens

4. In what would have been a dominating performance by the Eagles they committed 4 turnovers keeping the game much closer.. Which of course the Ravens failed to capitalize on.

5. Letting vick once again lead the offense to another game winning TD

Now you guys can cry about the refs all you want. But they are at the bottom of the list on why you guys lost. Both teams got some bad calls.

But Most Certainly the TD to ford or whomeever it was, was overturned cause as a WR you can't extend your arm out to create space. Which is what he did.

Vicks pass was not a fumble. You'd have to be an idiot to think otherwise.. It certianly wasn't intentional grounding either since it was in the vicinity of a WR.

Cry all you want. But the Ravens were playing dirty. There tackles consisted of going for someones knees with intent to injure Which is why Kelce is likely out for the season. Lets also ignore the countless hits on vick after the pass that went without a flag.

I never seen a team come out and cry so much publicly. I lost a lot of respect for the Ravens. If they had ever gotten to the Superbowl I would have rooted for them.

But the Eagles pushed back and won.

Being elite is not just about passing, it's being able to run a balanced offense and execution of a successful game plan. the Ravens did that in the first half. If taking the ball out of Rice's hands and losing is the price to make Flacco elite, I;d rather have a less than elite QB who knows his limitations and can balance them with the rest of his team's strengths.

Oh please, don't use the excuse that we played dirty to cover for the fact the Eagles drafted players made of glass. Also you have been brainwashed by Goodell's soft NFL. There was nothing wrong with the hits on Vick. Ray Lewis said it best, it's Man's Game and if Vick isn't man enough to take those hits, if he isn't man enough to know that those are the risks involved in football then he shouldn't be playing.

The late hits on Vick should have been called, but Nnamdi also doesn't know how to turn his head around. Nice little shot at trying to not know who the receiver was. Shows your level of class!

But we can' also get into other plays as well. How about Demeco ryans INT that could possibly been a pick 6.. But was mysteriously ruled down for no reason.

I think our Defense outplayed their Defense and I think that we played more physical than the Eagles. What bothers me is why the no-huddle seemed to completely disappear. What the heck happened to Joe in the second half? At one point he was 6-22 with his passes. Saw him on the sidelines and thought, "Hmm, does he have the flu?" Furthermore, I agree with so many that Cam has to go. I do not care how good of friends he is with Harbaugh. The Ravens deserve better. I was just so disgusted watching the game go completely south for us. I really felt bad when they were showing Ray Lewis and other defensive players on the sideline with their heads hung down. It was like they couldn't believe it either. Almost as if they knew the offense was not going to make a comeback. The last two passes that Joe threw basically summed up everything for me. It was a heartbreaker. Hopefully we can get it together next week for New England.

Unintelligent? I'm sorry but Luck is for Losers and that is what the Eagles have been... LUCKY. Also, last I checked it's only Week 2, there are 14 games left. So get off your high horse and realize there is still plenty of time for the Eagles to mess up and miss the playoffs.

Your defense didn't out play the Eagles defense. The Eagles offense did a 80 yard drive for the game winning TD in the final few minutes. The Eagles Defense then stopped your offense for the win.

Also you obviously didn't see the numbers. Though I don't put too much into these stats. Yesterdays game put Eagles #1 in offense. Over 400 yards of offense if I remember. Where the Eagles defense shtutdown the Ravens offfense in the 2nd half. The fact that Flacco went 6-22 in the 2nd half and you still think the Ravens defense performed better is hilarious. Eagles O moved the chains, Ravens didn't.
