I Grabbed Flacco A Week Early

6 posts in this topic

After his 25 point performance against a solid Raiders secondary I jumped the gun and dumped Trent Edwards for Joe Flacco. I am so happy that I did. He scored another 21 points this past Sunday and should have a nice day against the Texans in the next game. He will be a great backup until my #1QB Romo comes back from injury.

This will be my starting lineup for Sunday:

QB Joe Flacco
RB Chris Johnson
RB Brandon Jacobs
RB LeRon McClain
WR Eddie Royal
WR Devery Henderson
TE Greg Olsen
D/ST Vikings
K David Akers

I know haha Romo is out and I can't start Slaton. Cotchery and Burress both haven't been producing but that team is still good for 100+ points per week. I need to make a trade for a #1 wide receiver but the ones who started out hot in the beginning of the year are falling off. Maybe I could buy low on T.O. right now? I need a top WR because my WR's are only good for about 20 ppg combined. My running backs are usually good for around 50. This week I had to bench Slaton (for obvious reasons) and put in McClain.

Yea your team is hurting without your stars. Flacco is a decent pick-up, he's on the top 10 "most added" list this week. In the CBS leagues, Flacco is only owned in 29% of the leagues. Brady Quinn is owned in 41%. Why are people wasting their picks on Brady when they could get Flacco who has some expierence now, blows my mind.

The guy I'm playing this week, picked up Flacco and is playing him against me. Dammit!

Not a bad pick up in a tough spot. I have the dilema if picking Moss or Berrian. I picked up bernard just in time last week(played him instead of Moss.

My thinking is that Gus "Who the Hell Cares?" Frerotte threw 3 TD's against the same Texans secondary that Flacco will be facing on Sunday. I suspect the wrinkle introduced this week is Ray Rice's receiving capability and Clayton is showing improvement while Mason is the man already. We have to use Heap in a receiver role against the tiny Texans corners he provides a great match up. I hope for a big day from Flacco.
