Week 3 - Patriots @ Ravens

371 posts in this topic

I think we will rebound from last week and pull of a win to keep the home record going. Eagles won't be a playoff team if they keep turning the ball over, I would love to have a tiebreaker over the Pats going into the playoffs.

I honestly think Joe will have 3 touchdowns and 300 plus yards in a 34 to 31 win. I just see both defenses getting torched in the passing game. U think the pats losing Hernandez is a big blow.

I think this will be a high scoring game, but unfortunately I think the Ravens won't be able to pull this out.

Ah, don't sweat it. The Ravens always come back big after a loss. Have faith.

Last time the Pats were in Baltimore was back in 2007 in an epic clash between the undefeated versus a team that had nothing to lose.

We were wearing all black too.

Still one of the most entertaining games I think I've ever seen because of what was at stake.

I've been waiting 5 years for this.

Four turnovers is not good enough. It appears our WR's and TE's are good enough.

Expect the refs to under perform. At some point, look for a deluge of flags for pushing and shoving, dead ball fouls. I feel the staff is responseable for on field player conduct, not the refs. Coaches should not be allowed to chase and harass sideline officials.

No huddle, muddle huddle, may lead to higher scoring games. This may lead to a high turn over count for both teams.

Ravens 31, Pats 22.

But so do the Pats.

Which is why this game will be intense.

Ah, but the man makes the cloths, the cloths do not make the man. Put Brad Pit in a potato sack and he is still a chick magnet, put a monkey in a 3000 dollar armani and he is still a monkey in a nice suit. Personally I do not need cloths to feel good about myself, but when you are this handsome, and brilliant....;]
Since the other thread was shut down for obvious reasons I'll reply here. Philly has a top 5 team if you ranked squads on talent alone. Their problem is that they don't play as a team. If they start to gel then the rest of the league should start to worry.

And on the clothes comment. I'm a pretty handsome man (at least that's what the ladies tell me), and I feel much much more confident when I'm looking good with a fresh outfit versus shorts and a T-shirt. I'm entering a profession that requires ties and more professional business attire and I always get more 'looks' when I'm walking down the street looking hella fly.

Okay you love black, I will stop harrassing you. One point though, well maybe two points. Black is not really a color, it is an accent, and a lot of teams use black as thier accent. We have to differentiate the teams somehow or you will have 22 guys in (cool, by your standards) black unis running around the field at the same time. The new refs are confused enough as it is.

You know purple is the color of royalty. And it also signifies mystery, power, luxury, sophistication, nobility. Black signifies morbidity, illegality, depression and death. Lets face it, the way this team plays sometimes, we do not need to be depressed by the uniforms too.
Do you know why the color Purple is the color of Royalty. Because back in the Greece and Roman times they would use Shell fish skin to dye their robes (very smelly) because at the time they didn't have the dyes we had today.

I know that really doesnt have to do with anything but thats why purple is the color of royalty.

Everybody on here KNOWS how much i love the ALL BLACK uniforms. Me personally , i think they should be our away game or home game uniforms.

The just look so dam intimidating in them and we usually straight run the game. That and the Color of Black is a Crow / Raven. Feels like im kind of forced to like Purple because the RAVENS are my team.

I Have 6 jersey and 5 of them are all black. The 1 and lonely one is Purple. ( it was a gift and number 52 so how could i refuse )
ALL BLACK. Thru did it last year nowjets keep it going for the Sunday night games. I don't know why but I feel like the defense has some of its best performances in the Black unis. If Pollard plays we have to do all black for the funeral cause a Patriot is going down.

What the hell was the original topic?

Never said I dont like it. In fact, the majority of my jerseys are black.

Im just saying you need to stop these wacky posts about your obsession over the black unis. Seriously.

Like I said, stick to your montages. They are your strong point. Arguing for a certain colored uniform is not. ;)
LOLOL, i made one statement saying i hope we wear black. That was it. Everyone else kept it going. lol.

And before i made that post, i didn't bring it up for almost a yr. There were other people bringing it up, not me.

Pretty in PINK :)

If you go back and read the "REAT" thread I was saying we won homefield last season not for the rest but so we rock the all black unis. Got a little heat for that but who cares. We should be forced to wear the all black during night games at home. I think it's a fan favorite.

That bolded statment above is opinion, right? How do you quantify talent? I could just as easily say that the Ravens have the most talent of any team. Or the Browns, or the Jets. How could I be proved wrong?

Got to somehow keep Vince Wilfork from dominating the line of scrimmage like he did last year in playoff game. Hopefully the younger, quicker O-line will keep him off balance. Joe going to have a huge day, I predict 350 yds and 3 tds. If the D gets after Mr. Bundchen like they did Vick last week it'll be a massacre. No way he bounces back up like Vick did, he doesn't have the heart. If he starts whining to the refs early that'll be the first sign the Ravens are already in his head.
I think you could quantify the value of talent through pro-bowls if not other statistics. The Eagles have current/ex pro bowlers at almost every position.

You realize that once replacements are made that there were about 150 players last season that could call themselves Pro-bowlers. So to follow your logic further, if we brought a bunch of Hall of Famers out of retirement and put together a team it'd be the most talented? I think the comment about Philly having top five talent is probably right. However, you can't quantify talent, but you know it when you see it.

I'll make a little bold prediction here.

Ravens win 37 to 16. 4 TDs, 3 FGs.
We get 5 sacks this game. Ngata gets 2, McPhee gets 1, Upshaw gets 2.
Reed picks off Brady twice and Pollard & Webb get him once for 4 INTs. Ridley or Woodhead fumble for one fumble. Total of 5 TOs.

Flacco is sacked 3 times. He throws no interceptions and no fumbles occur. I see Flacco scoring 350 yards passing almost 400 and rushing in the low 100s with Rice. The defense gives up less than 100 yards rushing because we get a quick lead and they have to pass to catch up. I see the Patriots throwing for 200 or so yards on us, for total yards given up around 310 or so.

We end up dominating TOP and win this game decisively and people are back on board. We run the no huddle a lot due to us being home. People praise Joe again and call him elite but say he needs to prove it on the road.

Let's see if this prediction comes true. Lol. Just a fun prediction.

Do they really? They have a larger number of probowlers and ex-probowlers than any team? If that is true then that is a valid stat.
