I need a Pollard update ?? Because I need somebody to smack the patriots million TEs around because Celek looked like Megatron today.

I think if the offense comes out in the no huddle mix up the pass and run, we can take time of possession from the patriots. Boldin has to Step up next week, so that Torrey can get a few one on ones. Pitta should get at least 7 catches 80 yds he's Mr.Reliable.

pollard will play

WTH with the uniform colors again? Like the sexy all black unis are going to push us over the top. That should get us...what an extra 7-10 points easily. This is football not a fashion show. At least someone will be happy, I guess.
Everybody on here KNOWS how much i love the ALL BLACK uniforms. Me personally , i think they should be our away game or home game uniforms.

The just look so dam intimidating in them and we usually straight run the game. That and the Color of Black is a Crow / Raven. Feels like im kind of forced to like Purple because the RAVENS are my team.

I Have 6 jersey and 5 of them are all black. The 1 and lonely one is Purple. ( it was a gift and number 52 so how could i refuse )

I'm very excited for this game.

I have a few reasons why I think we'll win.

Primetime

We want to avenge last year's loss.

We are at home.

We are coming off a loss.
It seems like we'll be pumped up this week, I think we can do it.

Cam - see week 1.

i saw almost 0 no huddle today. what an embarassment this guy is. says we are no huddle, play great in the 1st game, and says screw it.
Was it just me and my buddy thinking while watching the game , but didn't it remind you of WEEK 2 last yr against the TITANS doing LONG HUDDLE.

I blame Cam because of his ego and thinking he could out think Reid because Reid was planning for the RAVENS to play no huddle. Completely back fired, like usually.

Oh, lets not forget the run, run, throw. Run , run , then throw to a receiver that is behind the first down marker. Real smart play calling. Let me tell ya.

the Color of Black is a Crow / Raven.
It's the absence of light, not a bird.

And you've been told multiple times that a raven is actually a dark purple color in the right light.

Also. Can someone post win/loss stats in the black unis? I'm sure it's not as impressive as you think and certainly has zero to do with team performance.

You said it, in the right light it has a tint of purple. When you watch a movie Example ( THE CROW ) what color did it look like. Black or Purple.

They did a study on what color intimidates a person without really even noticing it. The color that intimidated the most were RED AND BLACK. They perform better.

I'll be at the bank for this one, I think it's our toughest home game of the year. The O has to bring its A-game to keep Brady and co off of the field. Let's go Ravens!

I have faith we can recover from today with a big win. We're at home, and we have a pretty good track record at home recently. Hernandez being hurt is a plus. The Patriots didn't look great today, and when they did look good, it was against the Titans... so yeah. I think we can win this, so long as the playcalling is a little better: more blitzing/pass rush on defense, better CB play, better decision making by Joe Flacco, more Ray Rice touches, etc.

Irrelevent Prediction time.
Were coming in hungry, were not only angry at the Pats for the loss, but now we are looking to redeem ourselves against the Eagles. The Eagles have a great team and a great D. The Pats team revolves around Brady and their D is mediocre. I say Flacco lights em up. Lets face facts, at the end of the season, we are going to be one of the teams that actually put up a fight against the Eagles, its going tp be very hard for teams to move the ball on them, that fact that we only lost by one point is amazing. The Pats have no D. It's going to be hard to stop Brady, but the recivers are no Jackson or Maclin. Welker is good, but Lolyd drops and Eldelmen will get eaten up by Jimmy. Hernandez is hurt, which will put more coverage on Gronk, and the O-Line of the Pats is just as questionable as ours. The Pats will Score.

Joe is coming off facing 2 elite pass rushers and two shut down corners and still had a good game (sure his completion precentage was bad, and he has an INT nut over 200 yards isn't and no protection doens't help so shut up haters) he had that one bad throw but the It factor doesnt work every time. Joe eats them up, the pass D is bad and we have elite weapons. They will lock down Rice. Our O-Line is suspect and we should consider switching Osemele for Mckinnie at RT. He'd be good their. Then we should swap Harewood for Osemele. Wait one more year then put Harewood at RT. Oher, Yanda, and Birk are fine. Dickson needs to be second string and let Pitta do his thing. Pees isn't a bad cordinator, and our pass rushers are young, wait a few more games. We need to put Cary on the bench. He did horrible, let Jimmy start, Webb is Webb, and Webb and Jimmy is the next Revis and Cromarte. So the descriptions are done.

Predictions
Upshaw has a breakout game. 3 sacks
Our monsterous D-Line preassures Brady all day
Brady throws 3TD's and two picks that go back for six
Ray finishes with 14 tackles again
Brady throws for over 400 yards
Ridley has a solid 90 yard preformance with two TD's
The pats return a punt to the endzone

Torrey will show he is a complete reciver and get three TD's
Flacco has a career day and throws for over 400 yards and 5 TD's
The game is a shootout.
Ravens win in a close game
45-35 with Flacco on a game winning drive.
This would be absolutely ridiculous. I can see us winning but scoring that much, that would be really nice. Subtract 20 from the Pats point total there and I would really like that score

Oh I know you have some odd fetish about the black uniforms. I've seen your numerous posts about them. By all means they should wear them all the time. At least you will be happy while they embarrass themselves on the field.

Pats lost because of a wide left FG.

Pay back is a B.

Think they know how it feels, well a little bit because it wasn't in the A.F.C champ.

RAVENS are going to stump the Pattys, put money on it.

The pats come to One of the toughest places to win as an opponent. We should handle them at our House.
Dont read to much in the eagles Game. We always had Problems against qbs like vick. One have to admit that he played great and we played pretty Bad.
But never the less almost won.

I don't want to see too many heavy blitzes. That's what the Pats want. They will torch us with their weapons. Our D-Line must be able to create some pressure on their own. But I don't see this happening.
We're in trouble than, if they look like they did the other day. They had nothing against an average Eagles o-line. God help us.

Time to talk next week. Two AFC favorites are 1-1, one must leave this game with a losing record.

Patriots don't have the corners nor the pass rush the Eagles have. The Ravens offense should be able to move the ball w/ more space. Should be an exciting rematch of the AFC championship game.

This time we have the Tuck Man.

(I didn't want to keep talking this conversation in the we will lose to Patriots thread).
Go back and watch our last game again, the Eagles where getting pressure With there front 4 and dropping the rest back ........our offensive line has problems.

Patriots Oline is nothing special this year.

We'll lose this game because Pees isn't half the defensive coordinator Pagano is. Plain and simple. We'll be able to move the ball offensively on the Patriots because their secondary is mediocre at best, our WR corps is better with the addition of Jones. Brady and the Patriots offense is going to absolutely shred Pees schemes though, especially with the addition of Lloyd. Last year Pees was able to zero in on the middle of the field with their TEs and Welker knowing that no one outside the hashes was going to catch more than 2 balls. Now they have someone capable of having a good game on the outside, combined with their TE's and Welker.

I don't see how Brady doesn't just absolutely torch Pees gameplan.

Patriots O-Line is the reason why they struggled yesterday. It is a problem and could be the main factor as to why they won't win a Super Bowl.

With that being said, we currently do not have the personnel to exploit them. If we bring a heavy blitz, the Pats will revert to their short game (which is stellar). This is a game we'll miss Suggs immensely. Hopefully Kruger's presence will help us out some.

If we don't run the ball with Rice, we'll lose this game. I'm looking at you, Cam Cameron.
I'm hoping we get the ball first. Then we can go out and do our thing. No-Huddle, run the ball, score points. If we fall behind early or our defense spends too much time on the field, we will start to veer from what we want to do.

But believe me. Bill B likes to take away your best thing. He will look to shut down Rice. If we are going to win this game, Joe will have to be the star. But that doesn't mean we don't feed Rice a ton.

Here we go again with the Pats.

I have no clue what Joe Flacco will show up. I will say that the Ravens are infinitely better at home than on the road so we have that going for us, which is nice.

If we have Pollard back, we win. If not, I think we have a serious problem with the Gronk and the newly established run game up there in New England which looks to be improved from everything I've read (I have not watched anything on them) They certainly had some tough running drives on us last season. UGH, hate to bring it up....but just sayin, you know, like, it happened.

Aiiieeeeeee our run D is sufferable this season so far.

On Offense : This is the game the new offense was made for. They must play a very high percentage of no huddle and quick paced play. There should be more designed quick passes over the middle and medium range our patterns (which Flacco is the best QB in the league at completing) Jones could become his favorite target once again in this game. Ray Rice should be involved in the PASSING game early and often. The Ravens should mix in the misderection plays to get their linebackers chasing the edges but gash them up the middle with Rice. They can not run right into the brick wall right off the bat the way Q1 of the championship game went. The Ravens will need to throw in anything they have in their bag of tricks to keep ahead of Bill though. Ravens should have alot of success moving the ball. Jacoby should score twice, Rice twice on pass plays in the first half. .It is imperative for the Ravens to break some tendencies in the second half. Now is the time to get Rice going in the running game as well as continuing to feed him in the passing game. They should then take several deep shots on this weak secondary to Smith and more Jones. Flacco must look away from Pitta and T Smith for the most part in this game as Bill will atempt to take those 2 away. Look for 1 long TD strike to Smith in the second half as well as another to Jones. Rice should eclipse 150 combined yards again with another score rushing.

On Defense : The key should be to play man to man on Welker and Lloyd with our Webb and Jimmy. They need to jam these guys and take the rythm out of this passing game. Pees will need to bring people from everywhere to get pressure on Brady. The Ravens rushers should be able to get through a few times, but Brady will find the Gronk open early and often as the Ravens really dont' have an answer for him. jimmy will also get turned around as he has a tendency to do and give up some long passes and TD's to lloyd or Welker if he is covering him. Pollard is the most pivotal player to this game as he is playing lights out ball right now and could make the difference of this game being a comfortable win for the Ravens or one that is decided on the final play.

Final Score : Ravens 42 Patriots 38 Flacco will need to drive down the field in the final moments once again where he will complete a brilliant pass to Jocoby Jones and avenge the title game loss.

Patriots will get back on track after this game reeling off several wins in a row including beating up on their once again weak division with only one loss to the Bills in the East. Patriots will finnish 11-5 this year, defeat either the Steelers or Denver at Foxboro and once again meet the Ravens in the title game.

Our O-line did great with giving Joe time to throw but the problem is that no one was getting open and Cam was doing nothing to help the WRs get open as far as motioning them or running more bunch plays where the CBs have to play off or play zome in fear of a pick route. Where was the drag and slant routes at?
