Its hard to draw anything concrete from McCoy's comments.

Even if we assume the worst, its not like McCoy got any questionable calls in his favor, thus affecting the outcome of the game.
However, maybe his opponent was starting Flacco in that FF game lol...(well, kinda joking...you never know with these stooges)

Yea... I took it as the man making a joke.... I think ppl are just looking for anything now... We do need the real refs back tho

i saw the mnf game. As bad as that game was, it still wasnt as bad as our eagles game. At least the public can see that rep.refs arent going to work out.

They should just cancel the season. Strike it from the record books. This is a debacle. There is no integrity in the game right now. There is no reason to have any faith whatsoever in the objectiveness of these officials. They can't be trusted. It's a complete farce and a sham.

Oh, I see. You're willing to 'wait it out' for Brees or the defense, but the book on Flacco is closed after Week 2. Understood.

If I recall, he's only fumbled once.

And on a blindside sack at that.

Oh, Peyton Manning threw three first quarter interceptions yesterday. Is he a scrub?

The refs called the Game for both sides. Just sayin

And they happened to blow several calls that went in Philly's favour.

I took the quote from the official to mean a compliment, like "wow, you're really good. You would be a really good FF player." But even still, refs shouldn't have fantasy football teams. They shouldn't have any sort of investment into the outcome. This is small compared to the other giant blunders of the game (2 2:00 warnings in the second half, the many brawls, taking an hour to spot the ball, and the flags/absence of flags). If I were McCoy I wouldn't have said that, unless he really wants the refs to go. I don't know why, they helped his team out.

I think he realizes that next time, his team may be on the other end of the stick of a horrendous call. Having points taken away due to a very suspect call is a crappy way to lose

So Flacco gets blasted and McCoy a pass? Joe was so right, and more so after the debacle on MNF.
Godell has a mess on his hands.

Joe Flacco said the thing that made the most sense Sunday, and the only thing that's regrettable is he was the losing quarterback in Philadelphia, so what he says can be seen as sour grapes.

This was brought up during last year's lockout.
When the Catholic church decides a Pope they lock the Cardinals in a room and they do not come out until they have made a decision.
How about a brave soul tries that?

So we have one telling McCoy that he was on his fantasy team and the Saints Panthers guy being pulled because he was wearing Panthers gear.
Get the real reffs back! But some of the replacments are OK, and maybe you could fire Tripplette or Coleman.

For your reading after the MNF game. I posted here since the Other NFL teams ref thread was locked. Kinda weird since I think it's more relevant to replacement refs in general vs. Flacco's statement thread about the refs but whatever.

This is possible...perhaps the truth is that one of the officials told Flacco that he had McCoy on his fantasy football team and someone else who was in the lead started Flacco.

I smell a new conspiracy!

More people should stand up and speak their mind on this. I don't even care if Flacco gets ridiculed for it. It's taboo these days to say anything, even when the proof is right there in High Def.

Seriously, is there an 'ignore' button on these forums?

There would not be much left to read.

The replacement officials cost us a victory in Philadelphia. That being said, it was not good for Joe and Ray to speak out against them. It will only result in more close calls going against the Ravens. The non-call that should have been made on nnamdi even made him laugh it was so obvious. I've seen better officiating at high school games.
