this is fun. At least RBates sticks to his guns and throws jabs back at you...unlike certain hit and run trolls from the u, who I cant wait to see make an appearance!
Jabs equivalent to a taller man holding a child's head at arms length while said child swings for naught. ;)
Definitely. That at least, is admirable.

Like when your kid draws a you a painting from school - it's all gibberish and nonsensical - but you just can't break their little hearts and brain.

I remember the Ravens got away with roughing Vick... bad officiating affects both sides of the ball. At any rate, I'm hoping and expecting the ousted refs return by mid-October.

Now that is just pitiful..............Shame on you......not even funny, or cool.

I laughed...and Im sure some others did as well.

Funny thing is, I had Vicks jersey back in the day. Maybe his second year in the league. But, well, he sucks and I like dogs, so burny it went!

I laughed at it

Jacoby Jones TD was my biggest problem today. A few missed PI calls as well. It wasn't so much that the calls weren't going our way, just that the officiating was so awful that they continually had to interrupt the game to figure things out. They should know how to count to four and how far certain penalties move the ball. They were just all confused about basic things. Regardless, Joe should have taken more responsibility, and not blame all of the problems on the officiating, because we had opportunities that were missed.

People will see Joes comment as whining and maybe it is to some degree, but it doesn't make his comment any less true. The regular refs blew calls as well, but to not have any control of the game, allowing players to push each other around and calling 2 two-minute warnings? It's a circus out there.

Makes no sense. Makes us look bad.
Well, it obviously made sense to Joe and Ray. Maybe they needed to vent to clear their minds. Makes sense to me. How they are perceived by others is overrated, especially when it comes to commenting on the troubles with replacement refs. I'm sure similar comments are being repeated across the league.

No matter. Move on, prepare for the patsies and pray the officials are better next week.

I'm sure other players are complaining too, It's just making excuses imo. And we're better than that.

Fake tough guy team, with a fake elite QB. The refs were slow, but the calls were fine. The only bad non-call was Flacco getting hit in the face. Every other call was fine. Ray Rice has some nerve calling the Eagles dirty, when he gave DeSean Jackson a cheap shot. In fact, your whole team was pushing guys after the play pretending to be tough. The Eagles are not going to be intimidated though. They take your best shot and bounce right back up. I liked Flacco before this game, because he is a local kid, but after this forget it. He can cry all he wants, but Flacco stunk yesterday.

Maybe he should not have said it but after being part of that it has to be pretty hard not to say anything.
Joe Flacco speaks the truth and does not care what the media thinks.

The only integrity affecting that game yesterday was our inability to make adjustments and utlize our players to the best of their abilities. Do what YOU have to do and that blown call on the refs would be nonexistent. What he said is true, it doesn't matter and wouldn't be said if we won the game. Period. They affect the game, yes, but do what you have to do by not leaving it in their hands.

Hey Flacco, one minute and 55 seconds with 2 timeouts from our own 20 but no points? If you want to be an elite QB for NFL, you need to deliver at least 3 points. Stop yakking and learn to produce under pressure. You elite QB? Please Joe!!!
Agreed, Flacco is a "good" QB, but will never be a "great" QB until he can deliver under pressure. The difference between Flacco and the top 4-5 QB's in the league is that they will deliver in crunch time more times than not and Flacco has been failing more times than succeeding. Until that changes, the Ravens will be stuck in "Groundhog Day". BTW, the refs didn't throw any of those balls in the second half or on the final drive.

So he wasn't under pressure in the Steelers game and the Patriots game last year? He didn't deliver in those games?

Even Peter King speaks about the reffing in yesterdays game, and just in general. Enjoy the article:

Pittsburg? AFC championship? He's actually been pretty good in the 2 minute drill, but he's hurt and with these officials and that pass rush and those corners. you can't win every game in the 2 minute drill.

Flacco was bad in the second half of the game yesterday. I think that sums it up. We can sit here and complain about the refs all we want. It doesn't change the fact that the Eagles played under the same circumstances and found a way to beat the better team. We lost....We blew a ten point lead, because we decided to air the ball out against solid corners and a good pass rush, instead of playing to our strengths which we all know is the ground and pound. Terrible coaching, and poor execution.

It feels weird agreeing with you.
I'll say this as well. Despite the poor officiating, despite Flacco getting hurt, despite the bs gameplanning, despite the terrible performance from our defense -- we STILL lost by only one point to a possible SB team. On the road.
So what does that say about our team?
We are pretty darn good in the words of Joe Flacco. We need to put our players in better position to make plays. The defensive game plan was one of the worst i have seen in the Harbaugh era. I wish we could bring back Pagano. That was just hard to watch. Guys running free in the secondary will get you beat every time. I blame this lost on Pees and Cam.
Last year Flacco had that comeback drive against Pittsburgh and played OK in the AFC championship which was a total team effort in that loss in which Flacco threw a 4th Qtr INT with 7 min. left at midfield, so everyone played a part. In 2010, against Pitt at home, he threw a pass on 4th down and 2 yds. at Pitt 31 needing a FG to tie the game with time running out. He bounced the pass to Dickson wide open on the left flat. Just prior to that he fumbled on the 43 and Pitt returned to the Balt 9 and the rest is history. Last year against Jacksonville, he threw an INT on the last possession.
I know you can't win every game in the 2-min drill, but the top QB's are more successful than not.
You cannot honestly tell me that the 3rd and 4th down passes yesterday were not 2 of the ugliest passes he threw the entire game.
Just sayin, for the Ravens to get over the hump, they need more consistency from Flacco, especially in crunch time at the end of games.

The Patriots just had their game winning touchdown brought back by a phantom holding call that cost them the game.
Flacco is right.

These officials have ruined the entire season.
Is it suspicious to anyone else that phantom calls took away game-winning touchdowns for both the Ravens and the Patriots yesterday? Why isn't the NFL doing anything about these refs? This is astonishing. It's pathetic. It's disgusting.

The poor officiating frustrates me as much as anyone, but as things seem to be going with the regular officials we'll probably be dealing with the news guys for the majority or the rest of the season. My point is, bad calls and bad no calls are just adversity we need to get over. Also, how about we don't abandon the things that are working? Too much to ask?

We must be trolling different boards; the majority agreed with him...
My theory for the Flacco hate is because he just doesnt have the personality that the media likes..

I still don't get why people are not content with a good/great QB (well I do but it isn't my point of view to share). Look at Alex Smith, he's doing his job.

We just need Flacco to do that (and he has done). Sure, sometimes his stats may look game manager-ish. But we know he can be clutch if needed - just won't be ALL THE TIME.

No one is - or hardly ever.

Do we want a Peyton, A-Rod whatever? Sure - those are nice things. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.

But you can win with the 'right' QB - not necessarily the most elite or the best.

I believe that we do have the right QB. We just need to surround him with the right gameplan for each and every game.

Execution is definitely the key for each game, but this isn't Madden people. You're not going to get perfect execution 100% all the time.
