We had about three 3rd and shorts in the second half......and not once did we run it.....despite ray rice playing excellent....they didn't play action those passes...they just let Flacco who seem to have lost his mojo in the second half sit back and throw it....

This is on head coach...then the 2 coordinators who had horrible games...Flacco and then the refs...

Apparently Flacco was injured early in the second half - rib injury. Even if it's not bad, bruised ribs are very painful, and since you always have to breath you're going to be hurting all the time no matter what you do. Maybe the injury contributed to the second half meltdown. I hope that A) that was the case (rather than it being just an inconsistent day), and B. it's not serious and he's better next week.

A few have said everyone except the coaching. Imo the refs were calling contact down field, the coahes should have been telling our D to do the same thing. Most of Vicks completions were to uncovered or almost uncovered TE or WRs. The refs didn't know the difference between ill. contact, holding, and pass intereference...

I think our run defense looked fine. I was more concerned with Celek undefended as well as Maclin. Jackson's ability to get away all the time was also annoying.

I blame no one. They lost by 1 point to a NFC team that some say will compete for a super bowl. I say let the season play out. I feel proud to be a Ravens fan. Let's go Ravens , beat NE!!!!!!!!

Play calling. On 3rd and 4th downs with short yardarge we didn't convert any. 0 - 6. and they were all passes. did we forget who we have in the back field? (all pro running and full backs)

Come off the ledge Bmore. It's so early, we could be Jets fans:).

For real. Our guys hung in there and fought hard against some pretty serious adversity today.
Time to squash this thread and move on.

It dosent happen often, but this one is the defenses fault. The eagles had the ball for nearly the entire third quarter. Some calls were really questionable, also, but we have been whining about the refs for a long time. WE just lost this game. They all looked as flat as hell. We Never play well in the game following Monday Night Football. WHy, I do not know.

To add to my other post, I agree with the poster that said we should have played the refs like the eagles did. They were climbing all over our receivers and we didnt get the calls. If the umpire is calling low and away, you have to put it low and away to get the strike called. Our secondary was letting the eagles receivers run free. Cant do that with MV pulling the trigger, he has a serious gun.
