It was deja vu all over again. I was literally screaming for us to run the ball early in the second half. We had a 10 point lead and Rice was destroying the Eagles. Instead we kept throwing over and over and it resulted in a pick and a couple three and outs.

Flacco played terrible. Rarely does a team get so many gifts from the opposing offense and still play bad enough to lose. Flacco was that bad.
I agree.

He wasn't the only one, though.

I didn't vote, because there was no option for TEAM. The whole team came up short, the offense failed to convert and score on numerous occasions, and the defense failed to stop vick and the eagles offense. Cam cameron called a bad game, dean peas didn't call a good game. I can't say much about harbaugh aside from his failed challenge, but sometimes you have to take a chance on a call.

Where was the play action? We got a rb who is picking up 10 yds a carry, time to bust out the play action. Did we ever run out of the gun? Our receivers were getting absolutely no separation and Flacco was getting killed.

I really believe that the reason we lost this game was the tempo of the game. 10 or so injuries, plus timeout, tv breaks etc. I felt like we could never get anything going.

We lost as a team.

Flacco and the offense stalled way too much and tried to pass too much when everyone know that Rice and the running game were getting huge chunks of yards. On 3rd and 2... We decided to pass, why... We all know the Eagles have a strong pass defense with the cornerbacks grabbing our WRs most of the game. A lot of physicality between the WRs and CBs. Some were called, but most weren't. Lame that Jacoby's call was called, while the others weren't. Also, defense was like a sieve where DeSean Jackson was just open all day. We lost as a team, but it's still week 2. We have to move and pass against the Patriots. Flacco needs to shut it and play better by not throwing into triple coverage or just bombing to WRs that are well-covered, when he knows that the refs aren't calling any pass interference.

Besides Webb, Tucker, Pitta, Rice, and Pollard (before injury), who is not to blame?
Mcclellan and ngata played ok too...

Eh, they all had their time under the sun.
I think the Offense and of course Cam the Predictable (I'm giving him that nickname) had more time under the sun. In Cam's case, he roasted for too long. In Miami...

I voted coordinators because they obviously left the playbook at home.

Kinda surprised that the refs were not a choice.

thank you for allowing multiple votes since there are MANY factors to todays loss.

Not the least of which Cary Williams...

Why are the wide receivers not an option?
they were getting held pretty bad, they didn't really drop any passes that I can think of.

But they weren't open. I don't think Joe would throw into double coverage so much if receivers were actually open. They had a terrible game.

I don't believe in blaming the refs. Despite the blown call on offensive PI on Jacoby

It would be easy to blame Flacco who had a terrible second half, but there was just no one with even a foot of separation the entire half. The Eagles D changed coming out of the half. They were holding nonstop and there was absolutely nowhere to go with the ball. Then the one time there IS somewhere to go Jacoby gets called with offensive PI.

soooo, last week, everyone was riding high and bragging on the "no huddle" offense in our win and now this week in a loss we immediately start playing the "blame game?" we're 1-1....the sky isn't falling! smh!

And the non call for intentional grounding, and the constant holds on our receivers, the blown PI call that would have given us the ball on the 1, etc. etc. etc..

You don't believe? That's cool. But it seems like just about everyone else does. And I would agree with you if it were not replacement refs that did the game. Joe is 100% correct, it's ruining the integrity of the game.

That said, it seemed like we were transported back in time with the game plan. No up tempo, predictable first and second down runs, hardly any shotgun. Whoever is responsible should be drawn and quartered.

And where was that "no huddle", up tempo game today? What we did today just plain sucked.

Haha, thats a harsh punishment.

And no, I don't believe in blaming the refs. Despite all the bad calls, we still had our chances to overcome and win the game.

Ravens still had a chance to win. And should have.

The calls were bad. They were awful. The refs suck. I agree with all those statements.

But they didn't cost us the game. They almost never do. We had chances to win or to stop the Eagles. We didn't.
