Just wow at the MNF game.

As BAD, i mean really bad as officiating was in our game vs. eagles. This one might top the cake. The league must MUST do something now. Not only that, the referees will need to be in top shape and prove to me they can do better than these replacement referees.

Maybe this will be a chance to fix this issue, or not..

Massive failure, owners' worst nightmare. Without a fast and reasonable review system that acknowledges the subjectivity involved in many calls, experienced NFL refs have very high value. The NFL has an archaic, ridiculous review system that they are incredibly slow to improve.

I think fans need to bite the bullet one Sunday and just not watch the games. If the ratings take a hit, it will end. I'll do it if it means we get the regular refs back,

I think by now NFL will want to talk to the referee unions bad. But with all the new demands union might be making now, how can they keep up? This is going to be a lose-lose situation because this deal hasnt been made early. I see a similarity of teachers union soon. No firing, no discipline, no weeding out bad referees. That is what im worried about. But if all referee wants is a higher pay with rules to weed out bad referees then i am for it.

It would take every normal NFL watcher to not watch the games on consecutive weekends for the NFL to even take notice, to be honest. Steve Young said it best: it's an inelastic market right now, and the NFL holds the reigns. They're the only product of their type around, and they're the best. They make the money and in the case of the referees, they hold the keys. When the players held out, the NFL HAD to come to an agreement because without the players, they had nothing. In the case of the refs, not so much. It's gonna take the owners [profanity deleted]ing their heads off for the NFL to do anything.

Wow........adam schefter and espn sportcenter just verified that the replay guys are actually all official referees! (not replacement referees). So the real referee did have a part on messing up.

Agreed because, as unfortunate as it is, what rlh445 said is true. As long as the ratings are high, the owners aren't going to care. Eventually us fans need to take action. I think the manure chant was a start, but it's going to take more than that. I do think that call is the beginning of the end for the replacements. I hope I'm right

Bmore did their part. Flacco commented it on it("hurting the integrity of the game.." bit), harbaugh did, our fans did. Owners are aware of it, now it is up to them make up a decision and get this done right.

I believe because the call on the field was a TD, there wasnt enough "evidence" to overturn it. Still seems really messed up though. I cant believe it wasnt overturned.

It really doesn't matter what fans do, it doesn't matter what coaches say or players say or any of that, guys. I'm not championing it or anything of the sort; it's ridiculous. At the end of the day however is that the NFL is going to stand their ground unless either the refs downgrade their demands in some capacity or every owner in the NFL says, 'We're just not gonna field our teams until you fix this,'. That's about it, guys. No amount of BS chants in every crowd around the NFL is gonna do anything and let's face it, the Bank is probably the best damn fan stadium in the entire league so don't look for it to become commonplace, even in popular teams' stadiums like the Patties.

I like the new Refs. It seems that the cheating has left the game, and the sorry teams are emerging in this league. I just wish they would clean up the fights. I love the new league.

Evidenced by the fact that the hapless, Vick led Eagles are 2-1 ;)

Sorry, had to!

Apparently the trainer of the ref who made the TD call didn't think he could do Division 1 college let alone the NFL.
