Greg Jennings for 2nd rounder?

21 posts in this topic

A 2nd rounder is a good deal for him but there are other teams with more cap that need him more than we do, personally I wouldn't worry about his age so much as his injury history. Don't get me wrong he's an elite receiver but a lot would need to happen for him to land here.

I would love to have him. But we never make deals like this, plus I'm not sure I would want to. He's a top tier WR but as of late he's been getting injured a lot. Not sure if you can trust that long term.

I really don't think the Packers deal him. If they do I can really see him in a Chargers jersey.

I wonder this is going to happen during the season or not, but it seems to me they want to trade him out before 2013. Greenbay have pretty deep at WR position; having Jennings is luxury and not necessary to have him.

The Chargers might get him.......

We certainly won't trade for him that is for sure. Looking around the league, one team comes to mind, and that is the Miami Dolphins.

Great point. I believe Miami is the most "needy" at WR in the NFL right now. Anyone know their cap situation?

Is he really though? I think it might be more a function of Rodgers than his own talent. One could say, based on last year's stats, that Jordy Nelson is an elite receiver as well

I don't think Jennings is elite but he was balling with Favre as well. He's fast enough to beat CBs deep, makes cuts on a dime and is one of the best WRs in the league with the ball in his hands.

Dont discount Jennings talent. When he's healthy he the best receiver on their team. You can clearly tell rogers didn't look as good this past sunday when Jennings wasn't on the field the whole game. Not to mention Jennings is deceptively fast and is probably the teams best route runner.

I think Jennings is on the cusp of top 5. He's like Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne in that he has a complete route tree and uses it to great effect in finding soft spots in zone and setting up DB's for big plays, but he has the added advantage of speed.

Jordy Nelson is a system WR.

Seatlle? They have some WR needs too.

Isn't this the last year of Boldin's contract? They have similar skillsets so he would fit right in here. I like the guy a lot too.

I just don't see it happening with our CAP space.

i just don't see any of this at all. would be nice but just not a ravens move, they don't make big trades but its always nice to think about. wish a dlineman/LB was being shopped right about now.

Q is under contract for 2013 as well. I wouldn't be surprised if he's released after this season though.

This would sadden me!

It would sadden me as well but if the young talent at WR shines this year, the organization could feel Q is expendable.

Oh, not saying I wouldn't necessarily agree with it, just would sadden me to see him leave!
