I have always thought Joe is a great QB but to reach elite status you have to be mobile. Rothlisberger,Brady,Manning and so on Keep a play alive by avoiding the rush.Flacco has not done that well since his rookie season. His sacks by bengals he was standing still. that is the only thing keeping from elite status. I love the new look offense. lets keep it going!

Really? Brady and Manning are mobile? What dimension do you come from? Joe is much more mobile than either one of those guys. Brady was always standing behind a fantastic O-Line and when push comes to shove there is nothing wrong with facing the rush, if you have a quick enough release. Flacco made plenty of completions, includin TD passes, while getting tackled.
I give you Big Ben. He is mobile and keeps his plays alive, but the only thing he got in return was, that he became more and more injury prone. It's tough to hit a guy hard inside the pocket, while trying to evade O-Linemen rather than catching the QB in the open field.
More importantly, there have been athletic QBs since the 70s and none of them could run their way to a Superbowl. Even if you look at the QBs that had the ability to be mobile and won championships, they all eventually had to learn how to direct their offense as pocketpassers first.

i'll give you a new member pass on that comment. brady/manning is not mobile and joe certainly has pass rush escape ability infact its the most under rated part of his game
His athletic ability is definitely underrated.

Personally, I have no problems with a QB getting sacked in the pocket as long as he's looking for a play downfield. Obviously he's doesn't have RG3 speed or Mike Vick in '06 speed; or Ben's size (I believe Ben is a bit "sturdier"/fatter :P) or Tebow's pure running power; so he's not gonna be running around and looking for the throw deep.

QBs that run like that but either don't have the speed or the size to shrug off tacklers; are gonna get nailed. See Kyle Boller, David Carr, Joey Harrington etc.

That immediately destroys any credibility of that award.

Remember Boller's monster game against the Packers? Rating-wise, I think that's still the best game a Ravens QB has ever had.

Roethlisberger is the only one who keeps the play open with mobility. Brady and Manning are notorious for getting the ball out of their hands quickly and accurately. And I'd like to disagree with what you're suggesting. Flacco isn't Roethlisberger-type mobile, but he steps up in the pocket well and delivers the ball accurately.
I remember that game. It was funny as they were saying how he'd broken out. But even after that performance, he still never had control of the offense the way Joe has shown.

I've always thought of his 'shotput' style throwing motion as awkward.

Well deserved, Frozen Joe! 45 victories since 2008 ties him with Drew Brees for the most Vs. That ranks him ahead of Big Ben, Matt Ryan and Dan Marino. At least one victory in playoffs in each of his first four years in the national football league ties him with Otto Graham. If he isn't an elite QB, than who is? As far as Peyton Manning's debut as a Bronco is concerned, he did well but I noticed several of his passes were wobbly. Skip Bayless is eating crow for being a Flacco hater and Kurt Warner should eat some crow for not ranking the AFC's Offensive Player of the Week in his Top 5 QB ranking. The hurry up offense should really help in our upcoming road games. I can't wait to see Joe give Peyton Manning a taste of his own medicine.

Anyone have any idea how many were drops out of the 8 incompletions joe had?
There were 0 drops....Dickson actually dropped 1, but didn't count because of penalty.
