Getting hated on in the Power Rankings as usual :D

And we're #1 in the NFL in the standings. (The tie-breaker at this point in the season being point differential, which we're #1 in by about 10 points more than the #2!)

GB is what, 15 - 3 in their last 18 games? Hard to say that they are slipping...and yet, I think I agree. Their defense is going to cost them a few more games this year, because that offense cant hurt you from the sidelines.
15-3 in their last 18, sure... but if you're going to look that far back, you could keep going and say they are 21-3 in their last 24 games. But I think it's a bit more telling to see what they've been doing lately, and LATELY, they are 2-3 in their last 5 games.

As long as we are ahead of the Steelers.
Cheers!

We are #1 in the division. That's all that really matters. Now that's a ranking that matters and will get you into the playoffs.
Ravens 1-0
Everybody else 0-1

I think we all do, sir. However, I do not see an issue with discussing rankings. Is there really a problem with that? Isn't that what message boards are for? Discussing topics? Maybe?

It's one game, power rankings mean something to a degree with a bigger sample size. Who cares about opening weekend power rankings?

Packers lost! Are they not still a favorite an NFC?

I will say we would of been number 2 if we played in Cinci instead of Bmore

I dont think it matters to the rankings where they play, bottom line is elite teams find away to win on the road and i think they know they cant trust us because we let them down every time we getting rolling

I'm suprised we are where we are in the rankings. I thought Cincinnati had a much more powerful offensive line. Arn't they one of the biggest in the league? I'll never understand the power rankings...

I don't care about power rankings, myself. In fact, I don't really understand what they are. In any case, if it makes you feel better, The Sporting News has us at #2.

Should we throttle the Eagles on the road next week, and the teams ahead of us not look so stellar, I can see us moving close to the #1 spot. As long as we're #1 in February, that's all I care about to be honest.

LOL at some of the Bengal fans saying we aren't a great team and that the Bengals should have won handily. Stop making excuses seriously; Dalton stared down Green every single play and would throw the check-down if he wasn't open.

Watch how the rankings change on 2/3/13. But we should be used to this. Watch them all hop on soon enough. I can't wait till we win the Superbowl and Flacco gives the finger to ESPN, Jamie Dukes, Troll Bayless and all the other frauds who've hated the last 5 years. Can't wait!
flacco will win super bowl mvp and he'll just start talkin tebow. nothing can change his opinion. i know a lot of people on here are mad about the people on the bandwagon but isn't it better than just hating and have nothing change your opinion. well.. thats how skip is. he hates and his opinion never changes regardless of what happens.

Now if the Ravens (and fans) want to be considered #1 in the league they can do it relatively quick. Beat the Eagles and Patriots.

We are still in the paper champion timeframe. Actual results will change these rankings quickly.

It doesn't matter too much. But tell me! Is it really a problem if it is discussed?

I do not care about power rankings at all! NFL ranking is what matters at the end of the day. Is your team winning games and how many games have they won is all that matters.

I also don't mind others not recognizing that we're the real deal. I mean we're the underdogs against the Eagles, which is ridiculous if you ask me. I like being underestimated though, so no complaints here. We'll show the rest of the league that we're not just a team who's successful at home.

Ranked the fourth best team in the league. Oh the hatred :)
My 'gripe' is that we are a distant fourth...

Personally, my top two goes like this:

1. San Fran
2. Baltimore

with New England and Houston following.

Not you, some on the bottom of the first page.

It's one game. If we perform to our potential in the next 2 games we will have that number 1 spot.

However,

People will whine about that too wishing we were under the radar. I dunno, I just feel a lot of people on here care wayyyyy too much about what talking heads say.

There is a silver lining in all of this...

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/storylist/20028786/2/2012-nfl-division-previews/afc-north

This gentleman picked us to come in 3rd in the division and the Bengals to come in 1st...
Nothing like a prediction gone south to make me smile!

Well. This rating is highly arbitrary and is based on 1 week of football. Cant really be too upset about Pats or niners being ahead of us. You know come playoff-time that pats will be close to going all the way so they are a safe bet. Niners looked strong last year and just beat the Packers. Texans is another story though. Dont see why they should be this high.

I would quote an "analyst", but I think we all take note when they say it, but whenever they say our defense is getting old.. that "analyst" has lost all credibility in my opinion. Do your homework

Since only 1 game has been played I can accept a top 5 ranking. San Fran got a great win on the road against GB. The other top teams did some steam rolling on their opponents like the Ravens did to Cincy.

Let's see what they do against the iggles....
