ESPN has the Ravens #3. Only NE and SF are infront of us. http://espn.go.com/n...ear/2012/week/2

NFL.com has us #4. Behind 9ers,Pats,Texans.

CBSSports has us #5 behind NE,HOU,ATL,SF.

Enter Skip Bayless:

My only problem with ranking the Ravens as high as #3 is the consistency. If the Ravens can come out in Weeks 2 and 3 and put on another offensive assault like they did against a stout Bengals defense -- then I see no reason they couldn't be #1. Right now, 3 seems a bit high, but with another consistent game or two -- I'm all for putting them up to #1.

1.) 49ers
2.) Patriots
3.) Falcons
4.) Ravens
5.) Texans

~ Malkavian Raven
And 'no', Skip did not say that. I figured I'd sound like Skip Bayless.

He would still have the Steelers ahead of us.

I'll be honest, I'm going to try to stay away from power rankings and not let what the media says get to me as much this year as I would get it to me. I'm just going to let the teams play the games and I'll judge them from that.

Not to be too picky but where do you see the Chargers ranked? Dolphins, I assumed would be near the bottom half.

Oops lol. Thanks for pointing that out, it's hard not to forget a couple with 32 teams. I just edited it.

And of course the Texans are highly overrated. Name someone else in their receiving core other than AJ. Go look at schaubs stats. Johnson equated to almost half of his yards and passes thrown. To me they aren't nearly as complete as people say they are.

Their defense is fantastic, perhaps top 3. They have the best run game in the nfl. And Foster, Daniels,Walter,Jean,Posey. IMO Andre is still a top 5 WR. Foster catches a lot out the backfield also. And Schaub didn't have to throw it much, they were blowing the dolphins out.

Outside of Johnson none of those guys are really impressive, but I do agree about their running game and defense. Im not saying their not a good team; its just I don't find them to be as complete as some people might think.

Under rated - Bears (love their weapons, defense is still good, and forte is as advertised)
Over rated - Falcons (lost their best corner, beat a crap team, will go back to normal as soon monday)
Just Right - Us (our offense is hot and our defense should reach mid season form when pees and players get adjusted)

I love the Bears as well. If they win tonight I believe they could take the division.

Chiefs are a really good team. I don't think anybody predicted that beatdown the Falcons gave them.
