I'm sure someone else had to have seen this but last night at the game, during a commercial break they showed Suggs on the big screens. Obviously the crowed went completely nuts and started chanting his name. After showing him for like 10 seconds he held up the number six with his fingers and quickly smirked.....

Week 6????

Well that's when he gets off the PUP list. I wouldn't expect him to be back to playing form by then though, or he at least wouldn't be 100%.

Suggs is aiming for week 6 to hit the field, but that's just speculation....

However, I'm glad at least we know the timeline of his return date; true or not it is still hopeful....

If he could play by week 6 I'd rather him sit an additional week or two. We'll need him down the home stretch in top shape. And just think, by the time he comes back the rest of the D will be accustomed to playing without him. It's like running with ankle weights and then taking them off and being able to fly. It should be fun if he makes it back this year.

Edit, sorry, if by week nine,ie three weeks after he has to go on ir if he doesn't be activated. thought it was he couldn't play til three weeks after week 6

Suggs can comeback as soon as week 7. He was probably saying 6 more games. : )

Unless the rules changed, that's not true. Reed was on PUP 2 years ago. His 1st game back was game 7 against the Bills. I remember b/c I was at that game.

But could Suggs come back and then put on the inactive roster until after our bye week?

Honestly, I couldn't tell what you were trying to convey in your edited comment. So I just figured I would comment. LOL. It's all good though.

Should let him heal thoroughly.. We have the fire power to let him rest as long as he needs. I say let him practice week 6, work his way into full contact in practice by week 10, then let him play at least 3 tune up games (week 15, 16, 17.. more if he really felt up to it). This way we would be getting "the real sizzle", I don't doubt his will power to come back by week 6 but I really want him as close to 100% as possible for the playoffs.

Depends on Flacco like so many things in this season. If this "new" Flacco is here to stay. If Joe performs as well on the road as he does at home, then we should let Suggs rest until the first Steelers game, maybe even the playoffs. It's pretty clear to me, that we might have been even more dominant against the Bengals with him on the field.

Wow, not gonna lie, thats pretty slick haha. If he does come back by week 7, i hope he's healthy enough. We don't want him rushing back and being less than 100% obviously.
