Justin Tucker's First Start

And all the kicks looked to be straight down the middle. Tucker looked real good in his first start, but there wasn't a pressure situation really.

Living in albany area ny, most people arent familiar with the ravens. When a few of my friends at the bar asked me who my favorite ravens pick up during the offseason was...I responded Justin Tucker lol...They of course all gave me a funny look when i explained he was the ravens kicker.

Not individual kicks, no, but 1) it was his first NFL game ever, 2) it was against a division opponent, 3) it was his first home game at The Bank, 4) it was a nationally televised Monday night football game - the first one of the 2012 season. There were a lot of things he rightly should have felt pressure about, and he was perfect. Which just tells you about the gem we uncovered - we always seem to hit on one big time undrafted free agent every year, and this year I think it might be Tucker.

So, apparently, Justin Tucker now wears #9. I'm pretty sure no one had that number during the summer, but has anyone on the Ravens ever worn that jersey since Steve McNair?

When Billy took the field the feeling I got was nervous. When Tucker takes the field, I feel confidence.

Now we'll just have to see how he handles game winning pressure.
I don't think anyone has worn #9 on the 53 man roster, but John Brantley, QB, wore #9 this past pre-season.

I noticed this as well... I am so glad that I opted for the Art Modell #1 Jersey instead of the Tucker #6... oh man, I would've been so mad! (LOL)

As for Tucker -- what more could he have done right? Maybe another touchback?

Cundiff's record is going to get shattered this year by a rookie. I'm calling it now!

~ Malkavian Raven
The first kick was high pressure in my opinion. His first kick as a Raven under the Monday night lights (it was also the longest of the night at 46 yards). And at that point in the game he didn't know we were going to be blowing them out. For all he knew that kick could have been the decider.

He wore 19 in college, and that wasn't happening due to Johnny U. Enter #9

That's a good thing. I know everyone is going to be waiting to see Tucker in a high pressure situation but honestly as long as we can keep scoring TDs, all he really needs to do is kick Extra Points.

16 Fantasy Points Baby!!!!

I didn't have to worry about any other teams jumping me to draft him. I saved my last draft pick just for him since none of the fantasy experts knew who he was and ranked him like 2422nd. With our offense leading the way, I expect Tucker to bring home some bacon. It's a plus that he has the range for some serious points (5 points for 50+ yarders).

My sentiments exact as well. When he gets on there he's full of confidence. He owns that football through the uprights. With Billy he just had the appearance of nervousness, "Am I going to make it?". That's the difference. I hope we found a long term kicker with Tucker.

Perhaps we could say in the future that he's 3 times Stover. ;) (9)

There is definitely a more comfortable feeling with Tuck kicking, but I need to see him put a few through in the cold and wind at Cleveland and on that crap turf at pburgh. Remember, Billy was pretty much lights out at home.............

I'm not saying that I'm not confident that Tuck will be everything we hope(and what Cundiff was not!), just that it's too early to crown him king.
