where was he at anyway?

Both McPhee and Jones are rough, however Jones is the better run defender. And McPhee isn't used to the 5 technique yet. The defense will Gel as the season goes on.

I was most satisfied like the bulk of us with our offense. However, I was very elated to see Pitta be the factor that he was since last night was his first exposure to major and uncontrolled contact since his injury.
GO RAVENS!!!

Not sure if I am the only one here but our team looks VERY similar to the Colts when they went to the Super Bowl against the Saints. The offense puts up the points quickly and the defense goes back to work to get a 3 and out. There are differences of course but I saw some similarities. Mainly, similarities between Flacco & Manning with a good defense behind them.

We just need our Freeney back. I really like our chances this year.

The Ravens had a great game last night, congratulations. I had thought, up until halfway through the third quarter that the Bengals could hang and keep it close, but I was wrong, lol. My Bengals will get you all the next time the two teams meet. Whoop up on those Eagles and here's to hoping there's a meaningful game come week 17.

Congratulations again.

Thank you, that was cool. Hope you guys crush the Steelers. We have to keep them out of the playoffs this year :)

The vanila scheme and off coverage really made it too easy for the Bengals. It's easy to be suspect of Cary and Jimmy, neither of them are elite by any stretch, but Cincy was literally taking what we gave them. They ran hitch after hitch and screen after screen against our 10-15 yard cushions. The hitches were hardly even contested given how far off we played. That's not an excuse, that's just what I saw with my own eyes last night.

I know it's been said, but the front 7 needs improvement in a lot of areas. I'm hoping McPhee soon reaches an elite run stuffing level, like he did as a pass rusher last season. McClellan and Kruger also have to pick it up.

But those are my only concerns really. The O line did quite well. Oher was a monster at run blocking, and props to Harewood/Osemele for solid first starts.

the good news was we adjusted to these hitches and screens. the bad news is if the game was closer, it would have been too late. the dline is my 1 and ONLY concern for this team. get it sorted out and we should be in striking distance of a win in almost every game.

i was getting a little nervous there at 17-13 but the ravens offense showed the ability to not panic and had a huge drive that lead to our momentum shifting to our defense. i still think you're team is good despite the blowout. you guys had some key injuries on defense and you're oline (specifically the interior) which really held its own early considering the matchups. good luck and whoop on those browns. for a very important reason, we are very mad at them right now.

first half D:

i feel the whole ravens nation had a nervous mindset, what with this game being nationally televised, all eyes watching. the D knows they can play better, but the excitement of the very first game was getting to them.

whatever went on in the locker room at halftime TOTALLY changed the D's attitude. Ray Lewis and others were involved, no doubt. the second half effort was inspiring

did you all enjoy preseason game #5?
