By the 3rd interception, a pick six mind you, my friend the Eagles fan was chanting NICK NOT VICK! NICK NOT VICK!

I was amused.

Maybe it will come true though. Last time around we got Reid to bench McNabb for Kolb

Regarding their CB match ups with our WR's. I'm pretty sure Nnamdi only plays the right side. So figuring out who he is going to cover isn't possible. Plus DRC is the better corner and perhaps the best defender on the Iggles.

I like us to win especially if Maclin doesn't play. Iggles home crowd is rowdy, but they can be taken out of a game quick. It's a pretty weak home field advantage for them.

Ravens 35 Iggles 17

Not too worried about the run. Bjge had our number in the afccg too. He's just a guy we have had a tough time with.

McCoy is definitely a better back but against the lowly browns run defense they barely used him even with 7 ypc. We dont have to stop McCoy, the eagles will do that for us.

I live in Philly and represent our ravens hard and trash te eagles whenever I get the chance. They looked awful but they're so up and down and unpredictable week to week you can't look past them. Who knows which team will show up for them
That's essentially my point. I can't imagine Andy Reid being silly enough to ignore McCoy and his 7 YPC two games in a row. I'm expecting a steady dose.

Watching First Take right now (I know you guys mostly don't care what they say, just found this pretty funny). Marcellus Wiley isn't buying the Ravens for the Superbowl because he believes Ray and Ed are too old (did he watch the game last night?) and he isn't sold on Flacco yet. Okay I can live with that. It's one game, I can allow differing opinions. However, he then goes on to pick the EAGLES and the JETS to get to the Superbowl. Uh...

So anyway, I guess we have to prepare for the Superbowl favorites this week.

The Ravens looked real good tonight(especially 2nd half),so congrats.

I know the Eagles(soley Vick)looked horrible last week ans I hope Reid realizes that when your QBs rusty and having a bad day that you don`t drop him back to pass 63 times(especially when your leading the whole damn game).
Instead you give the ball to McCoy at nausem.
500 yds(Eagles)200 yds(Browns)
Granted Weeden/Richardson are rookies and it showed but,the Eagles defence had a lot to do with that.
D. Ryans and Kendricks will be a big difference in why the Eagles don`t get gashed up the middle unlike last year.
Ravens coming off an emotional night and a short week to a hostile enviroment against a good team look to show the fans what they are expected to do spells disaster for a good Ravens team
Eagles 27
Ravens 24
Anyways heres to a good game and no injuries

Not too worry the following week the Eagles are at AZ and they`ll find a way to play down to the level of their competition and probably lose.
Eagles have lost their last 3 home openers to the eventual Super Bowl champions.

Sorry buddy, gotta do our thing.

Run defense will have to shore up for McCoy and Vick if he decides to run. Also, if the offense keeps balling the way it is and if the defense stays solid, I have no doubts we'll come out with the win.

27-14 Ravens.

The thing about our offense is that we can run the no huddle and stack up points but with Leach and Rice we can still smashmouth. I see a huge TE game this week.

Eagles fan here, couple things:
-Reed & Ray are going to confuse the heck out of Vick. He couln't even read the Browns defense.
-There's a strong possibility our best wr (Maclin) isn't going to play, based on the fact that we are about to sign Mardy Gilyard.
-Our o-line is porous without Peters out there
-Our D is significantly better than last year, but Rice could kill us in the screen game. This is how you negate our pass rush.
-I like your TE's vs. our safeties/Lb's.
-We haven't play well at home in years, especially early in the season.
-Harbaugh knows Andy.
I really think you guys are going to smoke us and I fully expect the crowd to be calling for Andy's and Vick's heads by the end of the game.

Just one flaw in that argument. The Eagles haven't looked like a good team in over a year. I'm not saying we are going to stomp the Eagles, because you all have some serious talent on that team, but it just hasn't come together. Nothing in the last year+ screams good team to me.

Honestly, I think Nick Foles gives the Eagles a better shot at winning against us on Sunday then Vick does. I think Foles would have been able to blow out the Browns and win in a dominating fashion. Foles will be the starter by mid way of the season.
All they talk about is how big he is and that Ben Roethlisberger is good and has size so that means Foles will be good too. It's quite laughable. I'll take our monster of a QB any day of the week!

To me being just a fan and having zero in knowledge of how things should actually be done. I would keep it in Rices hands and use our TE's if needed to pick up first downs. The better we can run the ball the less we see Vick on the field. If we do pass i would do some quick drops as i just think our O'line will be hard pressed and Flacco could have a long painful game. Just Keep Vick contained to the pocket and hope our corners have a good game. We all know as long as Ngata and Cody can squash the run.

So here is to win #2 GO RAVENS !!

As long as we can keep Shady contained we should be alright. If they can barely beat the rookie-led Browns I can't even imagine they would stand a chance against us, especially with Maclin out. Their D is decent especially their CBs. As long as our O-line holds (it looked fantastic and young last night) and Ed Reed gets 2 more picks to put him up a few more spots all time.
Eagles 14 Ravens 33

Our tight ends are going to have a great game. Joe should go well over 200 yards and a touchdown. As long as out line holds up we are fine. I think ray rice will have two big runs and break 60 yards passing

Actually your statement is false as the Eagles won their their clast four games of the 2011 season and none of them were even close.
26-10(Dolphins)
45-19(Jets)
20-7(Cowboys)
34-10(Redskins)
Granted, none of them were play off teams but,a blow out is a blow out in the NFL.
Not that the preseason is signifigant score wise but, they went 4-0 and they although unimpressivly beat the Browns last week so in accualty they have`nt lost a game in quite some time.
Again I like their chances this weekend and I had a feeling they`d make the Browns look better than they would as the Eagles have a great tendancy to play down to teams below their level.
None of that makes a difference come this week but, this team can only go up and they`re the 3rd youngest team in the league.

Now we really need to get back to earth, no week 2 a.k.a Tennessee game.
Thinking the Same thing. But if we were to lose a game in the next 3 weeks and win the other 2, id rather it be Philly. I DO NOT want to lose to the Pats or Browns for that matter. But i could see us winning the next 3 with the performance last night.

We have one of Thee toughest schedules this yr.

Beating up on scrubs isn't going to impress anyone.

If Reid tries to force the ball through the air, there is no chance you guys are winning this game. Our secondary is going to shred you to bits. If you can stick to the run we'll have a game on our hands, but the consensus among Eagles fans seems to be that Reid loves throwing the ball.

We've got to stop McCoy, plain and simple. When you force Vick to hold on to the ball, good things happen (4 INT, tackle-induced injuries, etc)

You got that right about Reid but,he`s taking a lot of heat(nationally and locally)for going 75/25% pass crazy when you have one of the top RBs in the league and I believe he`ll use McCoy and Brown more this week.
A teams performance from one week to the next can dramatically change fans and the(so called experts)opinions in a hurry.
Every team lays an egg from time to time so as unsurprised as I was with the Eagles letting the Brown hang with them....dont be suprised if the Eagles bring your Ravens back down to earth.
I`m not here to start sheet but, just get your guys opinions and predictions.(the Eagles MB is not all of them but, many of them are friggin whiners and call for Reids head every game)these fools forget how horrible the Eagles have been since Vermeil was their coach.Good HC`s are`nt a dime a dozen.

After last week's embarrassing win you would have to think we are getting the Eagles' best. At their best they are a very good team. And we didn't win a single non-divisional away game last year. All I want from this outing is a win but I'm not counting on it. Our team needs to prove it can win on the road after a big victory. This is the most pessimistic I'll go into a game all season because I've learned not to trust us in week 2's.

Not having Suggs is a plus for an average to below average O-line the Eagles have on the field but,i`d be much happier to have him on the field as long as the Eagles could get J Peters back. ;)
Coincedentally they each suffered an achilles tear which are a bad injury while Peters already had a set back.
