I'm surprised nobody has asked this but... are there actually people here who hate Flacco?
Yeah, where's that very insightful and informative Wizard fella?

Joe was amazing tonight, and I plan on many more blowout wins in the future!

I second that...

Joe said he believes that he is a top QB, after last night alot more people believe it too. I have always been a Flacco supporter and guys this is just the tip of the iceberg. I think we are in for a real treat this season and for the rest of his career. Great reads, great throws.

Great night by Flacco. It looks like things have finally come together for him.

Right off the top.....

If you were to tell me that Rice would get 13 touches I would have bet the ranch the Ravens would lose.

Things that impressed me was shredding the cover two, most receptions were in the perfect spot showing great accuracy, and even some of the incompletions were good throws meaning a QB has to put it were only his guy has a chance at it, he was confident enough leading up to the game to talk about how well they were going to do and went out and put on a show. Mike Zimmer is a very good D coordinator.

Although I spent the better part of the offseason complaining about his contract demands it looks like he is worth the asking price.

Flacco said that ? are we sure on this,Flacco should know he is Loved,we Love him,Ravens love him.
He indeed said it, but I'm hoping it's just what he was coached to say from his agent...

Flacco didn't get much time to play in the second quarter due to the Bengals dominating the time of possession, but take note of his numbers from the 2nd quarter:

5 / 6, 82 Yards, 1 TD, 0 INT

That's good for a *perfect* 158.3 QB Rating! He had only one drive during that quarter, but it was perfectly executed. Couldn't have asked for more there!

As pumped as I am for the game this week, I really just want Joe to get his Revenge by putting up 5 TD's on Patriots on SNF.

The pass-first offense led by Joseph Vincent Flacco:

12 / 14, 173 Yards, 0 TD, 0 INT on first downs.

That's an amazing 85.7% completion rate, and 12.36 yards per attempt! A QB Rating of 118.2.

I have no doubt that Flacco could have had a 4 TD day if they'd have had him throwing it at the goal line instead of handing it off to Ray Rice.

Edit: And even if you remove the 52-yard bomb on the first play of the game (why should we? but just for the sake of argument...), he still had these first-down stats:

11 / 13, 121 Yards, 0 TD, 0 INT on first downs.

Good for 84.6%. 9.3 yards per attempt, and a QB Rating of 105.4!

I think Matt Ryan and Flacco will shutup alot of ppl this year..... These dudes focused
Agreed. That was my preseason prediction that they'd both excel. It's time for a QB changeup. Brees completed less than 40% of his passes at home. Vick threw 4 picks. The NFC might have a few good defenses this year. It won't be all flowers and sunshine for NFC quarterbacks anymore.

I think that was definitely a statement game. Anyone remember the anonymous coach saying Flacco wasn't that good? I thought and still think it came out of the Bengals camp and if so Joe should have shut up that talk. His accuracy, timing and touch finally all have seem to catch up with him arm strength. Add him in changing plays to his liking and this offense will be scary good. Combine our quick strike offense with a potent d the second the score gets a little lopsided you know our guys are just pinning their ears backs. I'm really goIng to sit back and just enjoy this season cause something real special might be ahead.

And another thing:

4 / 5, 32 Yards, 1 TD, 0 INT on 3rd or 4th downs.

Good for an 80.0% completion rate, over 6 yards per attempt, and and a 132.9 QB Rating!

Did you see Joe get fired up when they had that mis communication and I think it was Jones who didnt hook like Joe thought he should?
I saw it. I'm pretty certain that was a miscommunication there.

Joe played great. No huddle will definitely help his career. Not going to go overboard though, Bengals were without best pass rusher and corner. Let's see how he does against Babin and Nnamdi
Are you saying Dre Kirkpatrick, who hasn't played a down of football, is better then Leon Hall?

Skip Bayless just said that he isn't sure that Flacco is better than Matt Flynn... I can't wait for him to continue to get proven wrong as the season goes on. The haters are still out there. Flacco is going to improve all season as he gets more used to the no huddle. I won't take anything less than greatness.

Yup... I agree

Both could have possibly smashed the stat sheet but both were basically shut down by their coaches in the 4th quater....Also both happen to throw for 299 yards...coincidence.....dramatic pause.................................. I think now.....lol

That's debatable for sure, but he's still a guy they are high on. Just like how we were high on Jimmy over foxworth last season before he even played

Guys , Skip and Screamin' A. Smith are basically actors. Each one is assigned to argue one side. It wouldn't make good tv if they agreed on everything. They aren't experts, they are talking heads. Take a rock of salt with everything they say

Very true, and I agree that he is an actor at some points and genuine at others. But claiming Matt Flynn is as good as Flacco? I'm surprised a bolt of lightning didn't come down and strike him for saying that blasphemy on national TV.

I've been a Flacco hater for years. Ignore the fact that he's been on my sig for 3 years. Or the fact that I have a Flacco jersey, or the fact that he's on my fantasy team. Or the fact that He's helped the Raven get deep in the playoffs since he started as a rookie. I mean who does this guy thinks he is?

Flacco haters...

Well week 1 is in the books and a lot of elite QBs are on the bottom looking up: Roethlisberger, Rodgers, Brees, Eli Manning... the "Joe only winning because of defense" is obsolete when you score 37 offensive points against one of the best defenses of the 2011 season. That was the most dominant offensive performance of the week. No other top D got scorched like that. It remains to be seen how good each defense really is this year, but scoring on something like 7 of 8 offensive drives is impressive.

Dude I don't know what ppl don't understand about that. It's all about the ratings. The only ppl who really take this stuff seriously is fans.

Why do you have to be a hater for not crowning Joe flacco elite after one game. It was a great game. But I remember last season after the Jacksonville game ppl were saying it's one game and now the same ppl crown him king after one

Yeah, just gotta ignore them, they really are annoying though. I love my team but I'm not blind to everything else. Hate watching games at Bars when fans boo refs for a good call on the Ravens. I like fair games
Find me one post were anyone has been called a hater for saying lets wait and see after this game? He's referring to people like Rbates who hated on him before when everyone else seen he had all the tools be a great QB. Your putting words in the OPs mouth.

And again, who's crowned him as elite since the game? Find me a post

Edit, you know what Hang on, I'm not finished. Not one person mention elite at all, period, in this thread until you come on here running your mouth. Not on person has crowned him anything, almost everyone has said in one way or another let's wait and see if he can do it next week and the weeks after.

You are an abustle troll, come in here, post a ridiculously false, untrue post, accusing everybody in here of crowning him, trying to make it look like your the only level headed person in here, when in fact you aren't, your far from it. Everyone else is level headed, you just come on here and post ONLY in flacco threads, criticising the posters of the boards, not even joe, us, all of us for our opinions on flacco, which you have totally and utterly wrong!

Did you even read the posts? You've made yourself look like a fool claiming we've all crowned him when not one person has. You come here insulting all the posters, as if we are dumb, and think after one game he's the best QB I'm the league, when not one person claimed that.

You do this very flacco thread, EVERY.SINGLE.ONE. you try to insult our intelligence, and your the one left looking stupid.

Flacco had a great game, he did he everthing he needed to do and had some really nice throws, with that being said I take his preformance with a grain of salt. The guy also threw some terrible balls and could have been very easily picked 3 times. This was not a flawless passing preformance.

One game does not define a season.
