He looked really good tonight. Our coaches are doing a great job as always!

i guess we should be happy now that williams didn't play much

Harewood is even bigger and stronger than Grubbs. He'll help in the run game and he has big long arms like Osemele so I think he'll hold up in pass protection too like he did tonight.

Now seeing Birk get pancaked at least twice on the other hand... :bag:

he played really really good football tonight. i guess he'll be the full time starter right? would be a good story after having so many problems with his knees and finally getting his shot and took full advantage of it.

I though he played VERY well, the concern I had about him was, being a T originally, would he had the mobility to succeed at G. Turns out he did, as he was very frequently in the second level of the defense, engaging in solid blocks. And Oher impressed as well. Yanda was a mauler. KO, I didn't even notice him, which is probably a good thing.

But everyone and their mom saw Geno Atkins absolutely destroy Matt Birk on that early sack haha

The line played much better than I thought that it would. Harewood looked fine, Oher might've missed a few but looked better than before overall, and I didn't notice anything wrong with KO or Yanda on the right side. The weak link is Birk who is really starting to show his age.

I liked Harewood after the Rams game, surprisingly. He was one of the highlights of that game for me at guard. Now he validated my impression.

As for Michael Oher since this is becoming an OL assessment thread, he played solid. KO was invisible, which is a compliment more than an insult. Overall, I thought the line played exceptional with the exception of Birk but that's also not an insult. It is more of a testament to how well the other guys played.

I'm happy with this OL. I expect it to remain this way. Starting the young guys (except Birk) and using the older guys as back-ups.

in just one week, we are making our line younger and still have no dropoff in production.
Not only that but we've got two nice veteran options in case someone goes down and since they aren't starting they shouldn't wear down if they have to make a spot start or two.

He was so raw coming out of college and he's been injured for the majority of his career. Harewood went out there with practically rookie experience and held up against a very aggressive Bengals front 7. Very impressive.

I remember when we drafted this guy back 3 years ago, he was built like a mauler. I guess all those years to fixing up his knees and rehabbing made him stronger and better.

I was surprised when I same Harewood starting but he did a good job I thought. I liked this line and injects it with much need youth to surround the savvy but physically strained vet in Birk. I like that we are starting KO and can see why we kept Ramon around so long. Never though he would be playing at guard though.

Why would his agent tweet something like that? Foolishness on his behalf and I'll believe it when I see it.

better start believing it because it did happen

I didn't get home until the 3rd Qtr so when I saw Oher at LT, Harewood LG, Osemele RT I was wondering if we a series of injuries then John Gruden was talking about how well this young Oline has played in the no huddle.

I'd even say production has increased tremendously.

I always saw something in Harewood. He's got the size, talent and skills to become a very good Guard but he needs to stay healthy which so far he has done. I thought he had a great game against some really good DT's.

Looked okay out there, he's definitely worth looking into as a possible long term solution. Lets see where he's at in a month.

Turns out, I am totally okay with this move. I can't wait until these guys really gel and get their communication down.
This. I can't wait to see our offensive line when they build up their chemistry together as a unit.

ravens are changing the game
How could you possibly figure that? We are running more plays out of the no huddle, although I still doubt Cam releases some control of the offense for long, which is something that Peyton Manning and (I believe) Tom Brady have been doing for years. Getting talent and running no huddle isn't game-changing in the slightest. I'm as excited as the next guy after watching that impressive performance last night, but let's not get that carried away.
