Let's get behind our team

23 posts in this topic

I became a fan of the Baltimore Ravens in the year 2008. It did not take long for me to realize that there was something special about this organization, something beyond the great place they play in and the great fans who chear them on.
Something beyond a football team. Something beyond the field.
We are a family.
There is no other NFL team like the Baltimore Ravens. A week or two ago our 4th quarterback Chester Stewart said it. He said that the players treat him as equal, which he did not expect. Wide receiver Torrey Smith talked to some Ravens veterans who have been around the league. According to Smith, they said that there is no other locker room like that of the Ravens. Even Billy Cundiff said that in the beginning of his career, they just threw him out with the wolves to see if he could survive. He said that the Ravens give everybody a chance. For the most part, our players and coaches are complete class acts.
Ray Lewis alone is enough for me to be a Ravens fan.
John Harbaugh has made this team a family. The relationships between the players, coaches, front office, and that of the fans vs. the team is like no other team in the National Football League.
We recently lost a member of this family, our dear Art Modell. If not for Art, we would have no team.
I'd like to thank him for this team. I'd like to thank him with Super Bowl XLVII.
Now let's get behind our team. Go Ravens!

ALWAYS behind, beside and with our Ravens! Monday can't come soon enough!

GO RAVENS! (I found that purple paint on the pillow case will prompt your wife into discouraging face painting until game day....sigh)

Telling people not to overreact here? Lmao.

You'd be better off training a rock to bark.

That reminds me... anyone watch Aqua Teen. "You can't get blood for a stone". But you're right. The first loss after we try some aggressive call like going for it on 4th people will call for Cams head and I might be leading the charge with the hottest torch but we gotta realize we won't win em all. All I ask for this season is to stay aggressive. If we go down going for the throat I won't be complaining.

Been a fan since 96 when i was 5. Even if i didn't really know what was going on, i still rocked a Vinny Testaverde jersey. Always will be behind this team, through thick and thin. Even after i moved up to PA and my parents became (fairweather) Steelers fans, claiming "they were never Ravens fans", i still stick to my team. I wear my ravens gear just to spite them lol. Now that I'm on my own, i plan to go to at least 2 games a year, and be a part of that electric atmosphere. There really is nothing else like it. Go Ravens!

Would pay money to sit in that locker room Monday night when Ray gives that inspirational speech including Art. Shame Suggs couldn't be apart of it, feel he would want to play since Art was owner when he was drafted. More pressure on Kruger and Upshaw I guess. Or Albert.

I agree with this! I've always been behind my team (ever since I became a Ravens fan) and there will never be a time that I don't cheer them on! I've always felt like we've had the nicest team (not on the field.) I remember seeing an interview with Courtney Upshaw, and he was talking about how good everyone treated him, and he had only been there a few days.

Our guys sure know how to welcome players, and this season, every team we play at home will get the OFFICIAL Baltimore Welcome! (A loss, of course.) :D

R.I.P. Art.

Week 4 of the 2002 season against the Denver Broncos was the first NFL game I ever watched, and I've been a Ravens fan ever since!

One of our most important Ravens family member just passed away, and I can't imagine how strong Ray Lewis inpirational speech before Monday night kickoff is going to be; our team will be roaring and stomping the Bengals to show Modell up from the sky that we will dispatch all the opposing team to bring home the Lombard Trophy for Modell, and Monday night is the beginning of our journey to the ultimate goal.....

The day the application for PSLs was printed in the Baltimore Sun, I cut it out, filled it out, and sent it in. Have seen every game the Ravens have ever played, either in person or on TV. Have both melted down and celebrated, sometimes within the same quarter. Best experience of my life was sitting in "Raven" James Stadium watching the confetti come down.
