I just had a fantasy draft with a few of my friends on NFL.com..

These guys were probably THE WORST FANTASY DRAFTERS EVER.

All of them had to get their entire lineup before getting into their bench (included getting their defense & kicker in Round 8 or 9..)

Here are some other things that shows how bad these guys were:
  • Tom Brady was #1 overall pick.
  • I was 5th pick, and got Rice.
  • Defenses were drafted in 4th round.
  • Kickers got drafted as early as 5th round.
  • Some people got BACKUP DEFENSES
  • Baltimore Defense was one of the last to be picked.

So that is just a few things.. Now.. here is the team I was able to get out of all of this.. it's an 8-team league, I was 5th pick, No PPR:

QB- Michael Vick (PHI)
RB- Ray Rice (BAL)
RB - Darren McFadden (OAK)
WR- Steve Smith (CAR)
WR- Andre Johnson (HOU)
W/R - Marshawn Lynch (RB, SEA)
TE- Antonio Gates (SD)
DEF- Falcons
K- Justin Tucker (BAL)

BEN- Eli Manning (QB, NYG)
BEN- DeSean Jackson (WR, PHI)
BEN- Frank Gore (RB, SF)
BEN- Marques Colston (WR, NO)
BEN- DeAngelo Williams (RB, CAR)
BEN- Steve Johnson (WR, BUF)

What do you guys think?

Looks like your bench could start it's own team lol.

Brady isn't a "bad" #1 pick, Rice falls to the 5th alot, and a lot of people tend to reach for defenses pretty early. But all together looks like you should have a nice season. Good luck

Thanks, man!

I mean, when there is a QB like Rodgers, and RB's like Foster, Rice, & McCoy.. then you probably shouldn't pick Tom Brady first. Lol

Forget Brady!

It's about Brees Baby!

Brees is locked and loaded for a season full of shootouts. Also, I think he will have more chip on the shoulder and is willing to be the last man standing after the bounty case.

Rodgers would obviously be a better pick from last year's stand point. But Brady has improved in offense this season as well so taking him 1st overall isn't a bad idea.

2011 Standard Fantasy Points:
Aaron Rodgers - 397
Drew Brees - 389
Tom Brady - 370
Shady McCoy - 282
Ray Rice - 300
Arian Foster - 252

Consider injuries/ strength of schedule/ upgrade at position etc.etc I'd take Tom Brady in the 1st...

I agree. He went fourth.
