Other than Super Bowls it's closer than you think.

Think about this: Big Ben has won 2 SBs but has zero SB MVPs. His WRs have gotten that award twice so what does that tell you? Here is another perspective: If Santonio Holmes doesnt make the most ridiculous catch in the history of the SB and if Lee Evans hangs onto a perfect pass from Joe Flacco how much differently are these two QBs perceived?
Finally, if we are talking about which QB I would rather have moving forward it's Flacco and not even close. Not only is Flacco younger (and I would argue a more talented passer) he doesnt have the years of sacks and injuries that Ben has accrued.

Additionally, Flacco's OLine is improving and Roethlisberger's Oline is declining......Flacco is maturing. Roethlisberger is degrading. I think that pretty much says it all.

Imo Ben is the passing version of Tebow. As a true QB he isn't very good, but because of his physical stature, it's tough to tackle him which allows him to extend the play. Where Tebow will look to run, Ben is always looking to throw deep, almost to a fault. But that's what makes him good. He'll make that big play more often then not.
I find it interesting that noone really views Ben as QB that relies heavily on his running game and great defense, despite the fact that he's only thrown for 4,000 yards in 3 of his 10 seasons and has passed for 20+ TDs only twice.
Imo Flacco is already the better QB, people outside of Baltimore will just start to take notice. I think the comparison that'll be much more fun to see played out is....Flacco vs Peyton. With Joe running the Peyton style offense, many will make that comparison and i feel Flacco will outperform Peyton this year

While both teams still identify themselves as power running teams with stout defenses, there has been significant development of both passing attacks. With the likes of Wallace and Torrey, the poster-boys of smash mouth football are receiving a drastic makeover in an effort to stay competitive in this new passing league.
If the no-huddle becomes a mainstay in Bmore I see Joe blowing up this year and becoming a top 5-10 quarterback statistically.

Overall I think Roethlisberger has reached his ceiling as a qb and his play will start to descend as Flacco is just hitting his prime. Flacco outplayed Roethlisberger the last 3 times we played him. I think he will clearly succeed him as the better passer this year.

No.
It happened last year.
There's truth to this.
Which would you rather have had as your QB last year?

Two NFLN analysts on who they think is going to have a bigger year, Flacco or Big Ben. The answer is not what you'd expect:

There are many more examples of course, but this is just the most recent instance.

o yeah, antonio brown was "andre brown" in the video. LOL
charlie and solomon are probably my most trusted analysts at NFLN and not just because they said flacco in this video. always have enjoyed their opinions. i can't say the same for heath evans (trash) and sapp (just stop)

My thoughts exactly. The backlash that will occur...oh man. That's why this hype scares me. I liked what I saw in preseason but we've heard about this potentially potent Ravens offense before and it hasn't happened yet...will just be more disappointing with all this hype if he doesn't produce. i'm confident he will produce though. loving torreys progression this preseason.

Garlic-burger is still one heck of a QB ( but not quite elite ) he seems hurt, tired and on his down swing.
Flacco is on his up swing.

Flacco has beaten Pitt 3 out of the last 4 meetings. It appears to me that Joe has solved the Steeler riddle which leaves me being wacco for Flacco. There's truth to this.
