I'm expecting a low scoring game. BJGE concerns me though. I think he's a perfect fit in their offense. Green will be shutdown. Gresham might have a big game. Bengals Dline definetly concerns me. Our O-line can't make to many mistakes.

I'm confident we'll get the win though. I think Joe throws all over them if he gets enough time. Ray Rice will go off too. I agree with 1/28, I hope he run the no huddle on a lot of our drives.

Bold prediction: Boldin and Torrey both get 2 TDs each.

Plus we were 8-0 last year at home, and 6-0 vs our division. We haven't had a home monday night game in forever.
The bank will be rocking, & Dalton will be shaking.

Final score: Ravens 34, Bengals 10

that new high powered offense. ;)

Forgive the off topic post, but I'm a new member and not yet allowed to start my own topic.
Where can I find out which games we'll be wearing the alternate uniforms? I think the black looks amazing under the lights in night games so, to have some relevance to this, I hope they're worn in this game.

Back on topic, Baltimore is as tough as any stadium (tougher than most!) for a road team to walk out of with a win. 12th man energized by a season opener and Monday Night Football will make things very difficult for their offense.

I'll say the exact same thing i said this time last year.....I would be shocked if this game isn't dominated by the Ravens and the offense is the reason I feel this way.

Everyone is so ready to label the Bengals as a threat. I personally don't buy it yet, could it happen? Of course. However they didn't beat a single playoff team last year and i think they only beat one team with a none losing record at 8-8. So while tthe Ravens has some things to prove, the Bengals have so much more to prove.

Yea they snuck up on people last year, but they have to prove they can not only compete consistently, but beat good teams. The Ravens are a top 3-5 team in the NFL without queston. The Ravens are 27-5 at home the last 4 seasons, 4-0 in season/home openers under Harbs.

That young Bengals team is talented no doubt, but they have to prove that they can play at a high level now that NFL defenses have had a full year and offseason to figure that offense out.

With or without the no huddle offense, the Ravens are just more talented on that side of the ball imo. Smith, Boldin, Jones, Rice, Dickson, Pitta, Doss, LQW, Thompson, Pierce, Rainey and of course lead by Flacco is better then Green, Gresham, Law Firm and Dalton imo.

If the Bengals secondary was at 100% i would give them a better chance to hang in this game. However because they aren't and i'm not high on the coverage abilities of their LBs, the think Flacco and the no huddle offense puts on a great show for the National crowd on MNF.

This game will have the early signs of being a blowout with the Ravens scoring 21-24 1st half points. This will force Dalton to push the ball downfield, which is not his strength. That will actually play into our defenses hands, which will lead to 3 2nd half turnovers. The coaches will follow the command of Flacco and continue to be aggressive even with a big lead.

41-10 is the score i see. The outcome won't really show how talented the Bengals are, but it definitely will drive home the Ravens message. Which is nothing or no one will prevent this team from getting back to and winning the AFCCG

Can't wait for Monday night!!! I'll be there 12th maning it to help rock the bank. Have to make up for those preppie, executive types that wear no colors and just sit there the whole game doing nothing.

@ Ravens <3 Since when is 34 points a low scoring game? While on this topic, my own prediction is 27-24. Ravens win in overtime.

Your right, I don't know why I put that or was thinking at the time haha

Last year, Joe Flacco and the Ravens pass attack got off to a slow start, with Flacco posting a 76.9 QB Rating through the first 8 games. In the second half of the season, the offense started to gel, and that was improved to a 86.1 average rating, including 4 games with over a 100 rating. He continue his success into the playoffs, posting over a 90 in two playoff games (average 96.1). His statistics are even better for this pre-season, with over a 100 rating.

The opposite happened with Andy Dalton. He started out hot, with a rating over 100 in his first 2 NFL games, and averaging an 85.0 in the first half of the season. However, in the second half of the season, defenses had started to figure out the young QB, and he posted an average of just 75.8 in the second half, including 4 games below 70. His futility in the passing game continued, posting a 51.4 in a single post-season game. That led into this pre-season, where he posted about a 70.

So who looks like the hotter QB to you? They may have both finished 2012 with an eerily similar QB rating, but one did it with a hot start and a hard fall, the other did it with a slow start, and a hot finish. Flacco and our offense is coming into this season with much more recent history of quality football playing than Dalton.

It is pretty obvious Flacco loos like the hotter QB.

Nope, not Perk - don't know who that is. It's my first time as a member here. Clearly something I said sounds exactly like someone else.

I'm surprised they haven't yet announced the game uniforms with only a week remaining, though that explains why I haven't seen anything about it.

I wouldn't call a division game a gimme but I think the Bengals are going to be in over their head with this season's schedule. Last year they failed to beat teams with a winning record. They were swept by us, the Steelers, and the Texans, and lost once to San Fran. That's not a coincidence. That's 0-7. Regardless of how close they came to beating us last year, that's not a good track record. They need to prove that they can hang with the tough teams by beating them, not just breaking even with the 4th place schedule.

Makes no since but......ok?
He relies on Green so much that even when Green clearly isn't open he forces it to him. Trust me it makes sense. Green is a safety blanket because he can make plays from nothing but Dalton needs to learn to at least look for a better option when Green clearly is covered. Letting a play making receiver go and try to make a play is fine but it happens to the point where he is forcing the issue. Defenders are going bait Dalton because they know he is going to make that throw. It's why he got picked off against Green Bay. Granted he lost a receiver in Simpson and there a few reasons why their offense has looked stagnant this preseason but that is one of them.

ohh man just started trolling bengals forums and man was it funny
to summarize, they think we're talking too much trash and we are going to overlook them, joe flacco is the worst qb ever, we have a great defense, and rice will be competely nonexistent in the game coming up

Ah the season has not begun yet and all the "this team is better then we thinks" have started. Lets get real. Its the Bengals. They are as good as we think they are. Somewhere at the lower end of top 20 in the league. Yes they always play us hard, its true. But it is the Bengals. And they are at our house. We will win the game handily.

LOLOL, i was trolling on there around the same time and yes , they were saying all that b.s. I loved the one about Flacco being below mediocre.

Playing Ravens at the Bank in Prime Time and thinking they are going to win. LOLOL right.
Only thing that would make this game better is if they were going to wear their Black Out uniforms. But i doubt that , one reason is because of the heat. And the other reason is because i think they are going to wait for the Pats game to Black out the Bank.

We definitely could have lost that first game last year had they not overturned that Gresham TD, which I think was a bad call...

As others have said, the Bengals have a mean d-line and their linebackers are mostly solid, but that secondary is in bad shape, Leon Hall probably still isn't 100% from his ACL tear either, we saw it with Webb early in 2010. I like Dalton and thought he had a decent year (but not a real "Pro Bowl" season), but I will point out as others have that the Bengals beat up on the weaklings on their schedule and crumbled against the big dogs EVERY time last year. Overall though, this is a very good young team on the rise, but I see another 9-7 8-8 type season for them, and its not going to start easily for them. Both offenses will have good success, but Ravens will take this one at home, 38-29.

Guys, don't do this please. It's all fine to get in on a good natured back and forth, but don't make it difficult for the moderators there to maintain order. Just remember that we have vastly different opinions compared to theirs, so what seems sane to them would appear as completely ludicrous to us, and vice versa. Not saying that we should completely erdaicate trash talking altogether, just that make our team look good and civilized while you're out there.

I saw this in their thread too. This is incorrect, right? I stay pretty in the loop and figured I'd know if this was the case.

I think this is a great way to start the season. The Bengals will certainly test us as they always have. I believe we have the edge offensively. However, expect a close game. This is something I will be saying almost the entire season.
