Up 7 spots. Looks like it took one pre-season game of Flacco using the no huddle to somehow propel the Ravens this far up up in rankings. Amazing how one second the Ravens are going to barley make the playoffs to being the top team behind the Packers.

Interesting. I Deft see us as a top 5 team but 2 is a shocker with a Suggsless defense. I'll take the respect though. Now let's deliver on it so we can see Rodgers in the dance.

And I thought they were stuck assuming our defense is no good after the Suggs injury. Like our great D is depended on just one guy. :eyes: As much as I appreciate the respect given to our team and especially our young offense, we still have not seen our team in an actual regular season game. So I don't really know, what to do with prediciton based on the pre-season.

These rankings are a joke, it changes every week and im sure we are gonna have a losing game to an opponent we shouldnt lose to which will drop us a lot. Id rather be listed around 10 or so, the lower the expectations we have we seem to do better. id like to believe that we are the 2nd best team but honestly i dont believe it. Pats, giants, packers, saints id put ahead of us. This always comes back to "getting respect"..it seems we get respect early on in the year then our crap games happen then no one trust us, the sad thing is, if we beat jags, seahawks, or titans last year, we are playing the AFCC game in baltimore and i would bet my custom made fantasy football trophy we make it to the superbowl. Hopefully this year we can get the home AFCC game and take on the 49ers in the SB

I am starting to get worried. First all the Flacco love, now this. Something just seems off in the universe.

We have thrived for 4 years as the underdog. Hopefully the anticipation of moving to the top is just as, or even more motivating.

Right now, based on the Suggs loss and the way our pass rush looked in preseason,
I would put us in the top ten ,top 5 no not right now.

We've been inside the top 10 in power polls for almost all of Harbs entire tenure. How is this new territory? I know we appreciate the underdog mentality, but winning more play-off games than any other team in the last 4 years will always keep you clearly in the top dog category. How in the world are the Ravens ever going to surprise or sneak up on people ever again? No, we gotta go out there and play our A game every week and expect the same of our opponents. Our days as underdogs are long over and this year is just another opportunity to dominate the competetion as a top dog and bring home another home play-off game or two! Let's go Ravens! Monday night here we come!

Agreed. At some point you gotta go Michael Phelps on some kids--take all the expectation in the world and dominate anyway. Being an underdog is cool when you're the new kid on the block, but we're established in this league.
