Florida Ravens Fan

Upshaw hurt again.

Upshaw suffered another shoulder stinger, seems hes off to a bad start! Played first half and only recorded 1 tackle. I followed the game on gamecast and through the board, many comments that Kruger sucked it up too. Anyone else really worried about the passrush for this season?

The pass rush stays "vanilla" throughout the preseason. But, I am worried about Upshaw. He was slow and looked tired all preseason. He also looked like he was dancing around at the line. He's not living up to his 2nd round hype thus far.

I'm really concerned about Upshaw . If you think about it , what is the difference between him &
Sergio right now ? Who is playing better ? Yes
neither is playing better then the other

Upshaw is slower then a sloth during a full solar
eclipse .

Im not going to say im worried about him just yet...id like to see him in an actual game and not preseason. I understand that he hasnt done anything great so far, but im not going to say im worried just yet. Even though i havent payed attention to the patriot camp, maybe someone else can chime in here....but i was really hoping we ended up with Hightower instead of Upshaw.

Did Upshaw fall down a flight of stairs too???

Paid millions of dollars to stay in shape (something I do for free... or 40 bucks a month) and Upshaw looks like he is over-weight and running with lead in his shoes. I don't get it.

None of our outside linebackers have looked good...
It certainly looks like the weakest position on the team right now.

I mean who wants to work for 5 months and get paid millions? Thats overrated.... It's sad to see how little they value these opportunities!

Hi guys,
I´m starting get worried about our D#.
The true is that our secondary has been burned during most of the pre-season AND our line backer dept is not doing their job as they used to.
I know, its only a pre-season but even when the most of the starters were in the field we didnt play as we used.
Missisng TS a lot... (by the way, does someone know any new about his return?)

Cheers,
Brazuca

He hasn't been bad necessary. But he's been out of position a few times. I'm not confident at all that either side will set the edge well. This is where we will realize how important stopping the run is even in a pass happy league and how underrated JJ was. I'm not normally someone who makes statements like this before we even play a real game and I'll eat my words if I'm wrong I just think our outside linebackers are a big weakness and teams are going to take advantage of that weakness.

I'm not too worried about his skill as Suggs said Courtney was farther along as a rookie than he was, he HAS to stay healthy though.

Of course he is. Suggs was 20 when he came to us from Arizona St....

The problem is burst, Upshaw doesn't have close to the same burst Suggs has/had as a rookie. Theres a reason Suggs had 12 sacks that year.

Maybe mentally understanding the game. That's about it.

All i have to say is, why , why did they have to let Redding go.
I know they don't play the same position but he was a leader in the D line.

We are going to notice that Redding was a big part of this team.

Redding was suspect against the run. There were moments where he played the run well, but he got beat in the run game pretty often.

I have more highlights than lowlights on Redding. If anybody was suspect it was J.Johnson on the run and coverage.

Redding was very suspect against the run. JJ was too. JJ couldn't contain, and Redding got driven back too often. That side was a mess.

With Upshaw a little banged up and Suggs out, I gotta think we are not done addressing that position. We will sign an OLB before Bungles game.

I have no doubt we will try to find a pass rusher ,even if he's a quarter of Suggs'
Ability .

I think it's a little early(ya' think?) to give Up on Upshaw. He's been hurt most of camp that could be affecting(ya' think?) his performance.

He's an Alabama guy and should prove to be a good one in the near(hopefully, very near) future. If Oz likes him, I like him.

I can't be too concerned with the preseason. That's the time to make mistakes and then learn from them. Plus, you know Pees' hasn't shown his hand yet. There was very little stunting going on from what I've seen. There is no doubt in my mind that adjustments will be made or the team will go in another direction, as they always have.
