Trade Deadline moved to Week 8

6 posts in this topic

The NFL has approved a rule change for the Trade Deadline to be moved from Week 6 of the Regular Season to Week 9. Must say I welcome this change 1000%. Week 6 was just way too early, and I always thought the NFL should have moved it to later to try to create some drama similar to the MLB Trade Deadline.

Does anyone feel that even with the trade deadline moving we could see no movement at all lol.

Yeah, that was my first impression. Kind of a "who cares" moment. Since it's been repeated that football isn't a plug and play sport, NFL trade deadline isn't as exciting as trade deadlines in other sports.

Yeah, that's my feeling too. It's not like where you could trade for anyone big like you can in any other sport and it would be an instant impact. With Football, it would take a whole lot longer. Though if Jones-Drew keeps holding out, I imagine by week 9 maybe a team who needs RB help would try to pull a trigger on a trade to get him.
