I'd never just buy based on "name" or rep. I'd always do a bit of research first, and it would have took all off 5 mins to find out editing rosters, players, kits etc and fantasy draft where removed. No one to blame but themselves. Ea didn't hide it, they were open and honest and until the game came out not many actually complained.

That's why I finally decided not to give them my $60 this year. I will stick with Madden 12 for.. well as long as I can keep having updated draft classes for the following years to come, I'll be happy.

You guys want to know how scripted the all new Connected Careers Mode is, I was reading that someone took the Bills all the way to the Super Bowl, won the Super Bowl with Fitzpatrick as SB MVP. This was all Twitter could say despite the fact the Bills won the Super Bowl.

Right... so winning the SB results in a bad performance and that it's questionable on why they didn't draft a QB even though they went to the Super Bowl? This game is laughable.

What's most irritating is the trade and signing logic.

I've had the Bucs trade for Pierre Thomas even though they have Martin and Blount. Then the Panthers, yes the PANTHERS, sign Ryan Grant [b]and [/b]trade for Isaac Redman with, y'know, Stewart and Williams in the backfield *face palm* (They ended up starting Grant, having Redman as the back-up, Stewart as third string, and benched Williams). Those are even more annoying to me because they take all the realism out of it. Neither team would make those trades or FA signings

Every year I've started a Franchise( or sorry, connected career-coach mode), I've noticed the same things happen. Suggs breaks some ribs and is out 4-5 weeks. McNabb signs with the Browns. The Panthers trade for Isaac Redman like ATD said. AND, to make it even worse, it happens in everyone's game. That's something that annoys me. No 2 career's should be the same.

This is actually the first time I've seen the Redman trade, and I've actually seen (and this is even more laughable then to the Browns) Minnesota sign McNabb, but it's usually Cleveland that does.

Are you choosing to keep pre-existing injuries on when you start you Career? If so, that's why Suggs is out for 4-5 with "broken ribs", since apparently they couldn't code achilles injuries into the game

Yeah i do. So yeah i guess that's why that happens then. But the other stuff shouldn't happen every time i start one.


Btw, the only reason i figured this out, was because it kept freezing on me. So i had to keep restarting. When you're in a game, and you cycle through the depth chart too quick, it freezes. That could just be me though.

Yeah, I agree about the trades and signings always happening. It wouldn't be [i]that[/i] bad if they weren't down right terrible and illogical roster moves.

Yeah see, people have been asking for EA to have the commentary and stuff know what is happening in their Franchise Mode, they asked for it to be a storyline. Yet, EA decided that instead of finding a way for it to know what is happening no matter what the User does, they decide to script storylines which is why you always see McNabb go to the Browns, or Kurt Warner come back in Year 2 and take over another team.

Another issue I have seen is that when McNabb and Warner are signed, they go to teams with 1st round QBs. McNabb taking over for Weeden in Cleveland and someone said they saw the Dolphins sign Warner and bench Tannehill. I have also heard that Peyton Manning retired after year one and the Broncos signed Kurt Warner lol.

Anyone else notice that there's a number of things that make the game freeze? I've noticed that when I try and scout a players catching in week 10 it freezes (happened once, so I did it another couple of times and it froze every time).

I don't think they've specified a date yet. All they've said is closer to the start of the season so it should definitely be this coming week.

Actually, CC isn't really scripted. Like I said, I've seen Minnesota sign McNabb, instead of the Browns. However, the game's roster AI is atrocious and usually leads to the same roster moves every year (SEA releasing Owens, Panthers signing Farrior, Raiders signing Shockey, Bucs trading for Pierre Thomas, Browns signing McNabb). It won't happen [i]every[/i] time, but the AI's decision making just leads them to make those maneuvers more often than not.

My earlier example is a perfect showcase of this. There's absolutely no reason Carolina should sign Ryan Grant and then trade for Isaac Redman while benching Stewart and Williams who both have better overalls than Grant or Redman. It goes to show how broken EA's system truly is.

I'm enjoying the new Madden. Instead of fantasy draft I am playing the Ravens. Torrey Smith is a beast in this game.

The whole Twtitter post thing is stupid. I also hate how after you play a game it asks if you want to share it with Facebook or Twitter. Why?

They could get rid of that crap, put it in the trash with QB Vision and give me back Fantasy Draft and in-gave Save and I would be happy.
